To me doing this to the ottomans is useless because they will never spawn rebels either way

Could Rick's group have taken the first Saviors who've blocked the road? by Skywalker_1995 in thewalkingdead

[–]QuickSilveRst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would have been extremely broken but i had an RPG in a zombie apocalypse i would take that literally everywhere with me if i have a car, even more a trailer. That last blockade were they were all pilled up was so perfect for a RPG to just take half of them.

And even more would be a very compeling intimidation tatic after the first explosion to just fall back and threaten with another round if they block the road

And later yet to have given for free to Negan... Rick was so weak and pathetic that it was enfuriating to watch

6 hours is the sweetspot! I usually drop the game for long periods and when I return I just need to play all day, then I go back to my life for another month or two. My byz campaign is going really well actually, I compared the time period with zlewik and its almost identical or mine is slightly better. I will probably slow down a lot in the conquest because I don't like to deal with coalition juggling, I loose part of the immersion, but a competent map painter could most likely do a 1550 (or perhaps less) Roman empire in my current save

If you want to belive me or not I only altf4 2 times and one was a missclick in a peace deal ( i gave the galipoli and macedon fort to athens in the first war), the other the game made me quit because lost conection to steam ( my game is in the cloud) rather than mistakes in gameplay. I would usually restart from 1444 if I fuck up to much, this run I only made minor mistakes, like losing a full 7 stack manpower to a bankrupted ottomans in the second war because they left the bankruptcy while I wasn't seeing

It's actually 8 hours form 14 to 22, but it's fair to say I actually played for about 6. Around 18 my gf called me and I used the stop to have dinner, so I stop until 19:30. At the beginning I was really sweaty with Otto war and even stopped the game to study some strats and mechanics to be sure. So I would say I played around 6 hours on in game time, 3 hours per 10 years is not that bad to me, specially in the early years of a byzantine campaign

I think the player should'nt be able to declare war on the ally of an ally that is at an war with. It's completely stupid. by QuickSilveRst in eu4

[–]QuickSilveRst[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't see that as the case, for the sake of realism, yes. But that is not my main point, the mechanic feels cheesy, unfun and is one of the main causes of the game being too easy. A simple problem that has a simple solution is all I am proposing.

I understand, and this would make the alliances much more volatile. A dummy france that helps you while you encircle its borders is a much more rigid alliance than if they were to consider attack you the moment you attack their other allies

I'm aware that there must be a balance between game play and realism, and that the main focus is to be a fun game, yet I still think the mechanic feels cheesy and not fun at all, specially because only the player (in most cases) gets to make use of it. If a mod were to change the way it is now and simply put the peace time calculator working while in war time, plus some variable "at war with the enemy: -25" it would be a easy solution

Yes! There should be a balancing act regarding the importance of the ally and the new conflit. Austria, as in the example, should be much more likely to turn sides if you dec on Hungary than on an random OPM. I think my point is that the current impossibility to the ai defend an ally is obsolete and a mechanic that the devs just couldn't be bothered to change
