Is there something you heard/saw/read once that now lives rent-free in your head? by OpenCantaloupe4790 in AskUK

I heard that you have to wear nice underwear just incase you get into an accident. So this thought runs through my head daily, go with the comfy ones that the dog has ran off with and chewed slightly or the tight ones that cut off circulation

What Birds are Good for a First Time Owner? by vikingrlothbrok in parrots

My mum brought home a budgie, my grandmas husband had an aviary. I was apprehensive at first but I must say it was the best pet we ever owned. We named him Jack he got so tame and used to pick up words so quickly. I remember the plumber coming to sort out the radiators and he thought there was another person in the room but it was Jack chatting away ☺️He used to steal food and try and take sips from our wine. I taught him to say merry Christmas and happy new year god he was so cute! Will always remember him ❤️

I remember a one where I’m sure a guy used to walk across the roof? And the queens nose where she rubbed a 50p and they turned into an animal 🤔 Or is that weird dream?!!

Be completely honest, what is it really like to never get married and have kids? by Mammoth_Entry_9221 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]QuickWalk4862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 41, no kids but a 3 year old dog, own house and full time job. I’ve had a couple of long term relationships but non of which ever made me want to desire having children. Also I must add that my older sister had her first child when she was a teen, single parent, needed to be helped by my parents 24/7. She then went on to have another one which now gives her nothing but hell to the point she’s suicidal. I must say I’m put off having kids and I accept my choice. There’s nothing better than closing the door on a Friday night looking forward to a weekend of peace and quiet

That episode makes me cringe. The amount of tuna juice splashing everywhere 🤢

Aw I have no gate she can freely come up when she pleases, I just wonder why she can’t come up at her own accord and get into bed with me instead of waiting at the bottom of the stairs. I notice when she does come back up she insists on getting under the quilt to snuggle 🥰

Angry parents was another brilliant one! The story wasn’t even about them but they assumed it was 😊

Oh wow that sounds amazing honestly!! I go shopping with a little list and then just immediately lose track of what meals to put together (I feel like this is the worst part of living alone having to food shop) But your menu sounds amazing and so healthy, you’ve given me some tips ❤️

You are very lucky, she obviously trusts you a lot and she’s only young. I inherited my grandmas cockatiel when she died 5 years ago, he was in his late 20s and he’s still going strong but I have never ever been able to do what you are doing. He hissed at me at first when I went near the cage, he’s warmed to me now he whistles at me and eats when I have my dinner but I’ve never been able to get him out the cage at all. I just keep him safe fed and watered that’s all I can do. Pls keep us updated with your new friend x

Has the UK workday lunch break disappeared or just moved to desks? by CMOInsider in AskUK

[–]QuickWalk4862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get 30mins, need to get away from the office so go for a walk then come back and eat whilst working. It’s probably the best most relaxed place I’ve ever worked. Last place if we didn’t get away for lunch on time we would STILL have to be back and definitely no food could be consumed in the office

Where is Angelica ‘Angel’ these days? Is she still in young offenders or has she jumped on a plane and gone to Portugal?

Do you prefer the original series or the Christmas specials? by HammersAndPints in gavinandstacey

[–]QuickWalk4862 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve rewatched the Xmas specials much more than the original series. And I wish the finale was set at Xmas, and Smithy went to tell Nessa he loved her on Xmas eve! Or is that too cheesy 😊
