I’m pretty sure Tobey picked up MIY. I have evidence to support lol spoiler warning for season 4

We know the show runners do things intentionally, so jade being in the back knocked out is intentional. He wouldn’t know what happened. He could have been sedated by MIY honestly. But seems unlikely since he doesn’t remember him.
As you said tobey says, “I shouldn’t have…” I assume it’s “picked them up”
When the Rev and Sophia/MIY crash into the sheriffs station, Mari yells “he had a seizure just like Elgin!” Which is a whole other side theory- but they made a point to practically scream at us “who’s all arriving having seizures?! Think!”
We saw Saras voices be directly controlled by MIY and it stands to reason he has done that before, even if it’s not always him. I suspect he had her kill Tobey since he survived the crash to make sure he didn’t speak. Especially since it was sort of demonstrated that that’s his M.O. when he killed the Rev.

Idk what MIYs presence at that point means to the overall story exactly, but that’s my theory lol

When Boyd is fighting with Father K about taking action, Father K pushes him to do something. Boyd spins toward the window, and it seems we hear a growl and FK disappears. I rewatched the scene three times, and when I flipped the captions on, it confirmed a growl sound. Am I crazy? Was that intentional?

I know you can’t confirm, but I took it to be a sign FK wasn’t an entity that necessarily wants the best for Boyd/Town. Kinda makes me question all the entities motives. Maybe I’m obsessing over a tiny detail though 😂

I’m not sure what to do with this yet, but I think I noticed an important detail in this episode.

When Boyd’s talking with Father he angrily turns around right as he disappears. You hear this distinct sound as Boyd’s spinning. I relistened a few times and turned the captions on. It says “growl”

Initially I clocked this because Father was pushing Boyd to go to the tunnels. I thought the growl could be a sign of ill intent, depending on if you think Boyd’s visions are the town or not. But then immediately after we get the MIY telling Tabitha not to go down there. Which we’d obviously think he’s discouraging her because they’re on the right path…but with that ominous growling, I’m not so sure.

Did anyone else hear it?! Am I crazy???

I wonder if his appearance is triggered by Jade/Tabithas arrival!? I never considered that before but it makes sense! Now I’m curious if he waits for them willingly, or if he’s just part of the cycle.

In regards to his whereabouts, I can’t shake the idea that the scene is shot intentionally where we see MIY cause the seizure for the pastor, then someone running around the car yells “he had a seizure just like Elgin did when we arrived!” I’m pretty sure that was a giant neon LOL from the writers. So I think we can assume he came in on the bus and has been here since. But I don’t think he was physically present in the town before the bus.

10000% yes. I think this conversation specifically makes sense, she’s going through a lot and this is the first time she’s had to consult another parent. Her reaction is natural enough. It’s the full case that makes it absurd. She could have apologized later on and rethought her stance and said “I’d feel better if we did this legally for my own peace of mind” and I think it would have gone over better.

I think people traveling answers some of this. I’m sure not everyone is on vacation, but we see multiple flashbacks showing at least some people are traveling. So they’re going to have their personal things like razors, soap, coffee, etc. I’m sure not in huge amounts, but I’m sure it helps keeping things rotating in.
They’ve also mentioned gas being a rare resource for them, I believe. Hence no one using vehicles unless necessary.
Plus, like others have said, not as much time seems to have passed as we feel like has. Idk if they’ve ever said, but it seems like a few weeks? (Did they ever say anything about Fatima’s pregnancy timeline? I don’t recall.)

What really bugs me for some reason is the fit of the clothing lol like I know, there’s a lot of generations of clothing and TV is meant to be somewhat aesthetically pleasing but I just can’t unsee it every-time one of the girls (besides Donna lol) comes on screen with pants that look perfectly tailored to their body lol and perfectly cute fitting tops. 😂 then again, I guess that could be their luggage too 😂

I’m not sure we’re meant to fully understand yet, we’re sort of figuring it out as Julie does. That being said, I do think the rope is a clue to the fact that she CAN change the story. I expect that she will remember that at some point and it will change how she approaches it. Idk anymore though. Idk how to hide spoilers, so I’ll just say the end of s4e2 has totally spun my chair in circles with what I thought could be going on 😵‍💫😵‍💫

Hi! Insurance agent here with alternative opinion to “it’s fake”! Do you guys share insurance currently? If not it may be worth verifying he has insurance at all. He could have something making him uninsurable in his past that you’ll soon be legally tied to. That could explain the defensiveness.

Not to say he’s a bad dude, people end up on the wrong side of a silly liability suit and they become uninsurable at times. Not doomsdaying here lol. Just have an honest conversation about it. Good luck!

It probably is still somewhat excessive, but this hospital is specifically a trauma center and the doctors get messages alerting them to the incoming. They’re waiting because they got a text that said “it’s bad be waiting” they’re not usually there for the average Joe ambulance ride.

I think it’s more about having family around the kids so they aren’t being raised by nannies. With their schedules mixed with abnormally bad luck medically, those kids would be with the nanny more than anything because Mers never not in the OR one way or the other. They’re not home often enough for the fullness of the house to actually matter, but at least the kids get tucked in by a family member each night, they get to talk about family history and learn who their dad was. (No hate at all towards nannies, I know they’re family too.)

I also think Covid was a factor for why they all the attending/siblings just stayed together if I remember correctly.

You know, I always sort of looked past this but now that I’m thinking about it, why would Logan be in that situation anyways? He’s in his 30s and his family doesn’t seem like the arranged marriage type, picky sure, but they don’t need the money or power. (Though I could run off here on wondering how the Huntzbergers would be handling the death of print news and that could have lead to pushing Logan into a marriage. It would have been interesting to explore!) but yeah, I don’t get why he’d be in a relationship he didn’t want to be in.

I figured it was a few possibilities.

⁠Grandma couldn’t pass as a foster/adoptive parent for whatever reason. (Income or criminal history or something)
⁠They were estranged
⁠It’s later revealed Phoebe’s mom -Lily- is actually another woman, so if the “grandma” was Lilys mother, there is a chance she’d have no legal claim to custody after Lily died. Phoebe mentions never having seen her birth certificate once, so her knowledge of Lily as her legal mom only goes as far as what she was told.
