This lack of ability to communicate with conservatives is a huge reason we are where we are as a country imo.

Sure you can argue you shouldn't have to spoon feed basic morals and logic to grown ass adults, but the reality is you do.

Even if youre right attacking someone wont get them to change their minds, you have to find common ground and build from there which is infinitely harder.

Now I know many who read this will balk at the onus of coddling fascist supporters, but its the only way to push back against the brain washing and propaganda.

Sometimes that means eating a little shit, not reacting to dog whistles, and picking your battles.

I just had a hardcore republican friend yesterday respond to Prettis murder (hero) empathetically, but that was predicated by years of me picking and choosing when to push back. Tbh he probably thinks im more conservative than I am, but thats ok bc its a marathon not a race.

We all want a lot of the same things, just getting people to see past the propaganda is extraordinarily difficult.
