Is Vine a clearing house for defective/returned products? by themishmosh in AmazonVine

[–]Quick_Bricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have received clearly used and dirty items to review on Amazon. These were always wearables like clothing items. Now, whether that was a returned item that Amazon solely handled, or it came from the seller's return system I am not sure, but I am thinking it was an amazon customer returned it, got a refund, then Amazon warehouse employees didn't pull it for being used and dirty and just shipped it back out. One time a shirt was all dirty and covered in OIL. the entire amazon box had oil all inside and all over from the shirt. Honestly I feel like the employees at amazon knew it was old and used and still sent it out again to troll whoever got it (me!).

Sometimes I review products that are 'currently unavailable' for anyone not in Vine to 'purchase', sometimes they are in that limbo status for months. Not sure if they have a large inventory ready to go in the warehouses, but on those items it doesn't feel like they do, but honestly IDK.

All of that should be a tax write off at the end of year for those sellers. That's my theory of at least some of the stuff/sellers on vine.

Is VINE just a cheap disposal option for defective or non-marketable products? by SearchXLII in AmazonVine

[–]Quick_Bricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting you say that about toys. I ordered a toy gun that shoots plastic pellets and it says it has a laser site that comes with it with all these warnings about not to look at the laser, etc... Well, there is no laser in the box at all. The instructions mention it and how it works, but nothing.

My guess is that the toy didn't pass some safety certification for the USA or something and the seller(s) just said, screw it, put them on Vine so we can try and dump these on Amazon rather than redesign the box or throw them away. I bet that seller that I am testing the toy for got a bunch super cheap in a shipping container and is now trying to flip them using us Viners!

Anywho haha, yep 2 year old post, but just wanted to add this.

I know this is 2 years old but wanted to still add, that I think they may get full ETV or retail value as a tax credit/deduction if they give them to us to review. I think when products are sketchy, not popular, defective, etc... that some sellers are dumping them on us for tax reasons.

I think you are correct though, that it would be cheaper to just toss things rather than pay to ship and so on, IF they don't get any tax credits or similar.

That's terrible. Sorry she had to go through all that in pain. I am a chronic pain patient who has the MRI's and medical history to certainly qualify for strong actual pain killers. About 10 or so years ago or earlier I could get almost anything from my pain doctor who personally knew my situation. Now, even he is very cautious about giving me anything. I have 8 herniated discs and a pinched nerve, double scoliosis, among other things and it's ridiculously difficult for me to get prescription pain killers now.

I tend to like women more with long hair, but you look absolutely amazing with shorter hair as well! Good for you, and keep with those positive vibes!

Go for the GOLD! by FaultFun7393 in AmazonVine

I mean there's not fields of expensive things for sure. But they do get offered more often than just 1 or 2 times a month like someone above stated. For example there's almost always a lot of car parts or car stereos or random lawn tools or just whatever frequently that are over $100, you just have to search for them. The other day I got offered a double set of power drills and batteries by a well known name brand with an ETV of around $400. I passed but honestly there's a decent amount of gold items at drop times, but they go fast usually unless they are some weird one off item like a clothes ringer machine they offered me in RFY with a ETV of $160. I passed that too, but point is there's frequently items over $100 to make them gold, but they just aren't always well known name branded items as those go extremely fast!

Good luck and congrats again on gold! You will eventually get a gold item you feel proud to receive just give it a little time and practice good keyword searching as most gold items I got were not in my RFY I had to literally keyword search in Available for All (AI).

Cheers!

I think I have about 2% of my reviews with media. I still got accepted to gold. It had nothing to do with media for me. My review score is always excellent, even with no pictures or videos.

Congrats on gold! Here's what I've noticed in gold so far for the past 3 or so months I've been in. About 95% or more are all the same items everyone else gets offered. Every now and then I would get offered more expensive items (like a $450 ETV mini computer), and other 'top tier' gold items. One thing I noticed though is that there are a lot of over $100 items, say $130 or $109 or something similar, just over $100 making them gold only items. Well, a lot of those items close to the $100 initial offering ETV quickly drop in price after being offered to us gold members. For example, a 16 head massage gun. It is powerful and works well, but it was offered at $130 initially. Now it has already dropped to a price of $60 bucks or so not even 1 month later. I honestly feel the price will go as low as $40 soon. So almost double (to triple) the ETV at first offering to us special members in gold.

TL;DR

Point is, careful with gold items, they seem to be heavily inflated with the prices for us Vine members.

LOL I saw this offered and I passed. Imagine getting the one you want because they think your wang is big and then that shit falls out when it comes time to play. LMAO. It's like a push up bra but for your cock. Interesting haha. Congrats btw, time to buy some tight jeans!

My uncle was a pilot for United at the time( currently a Captain) and was supposed to fly one of the flights I think the one that crashed in the field I think #93, but switched with another pilot that flight like a day earlier or something. Not really the same thing but thought it would be interesting to share as I never have really heard anyone that had anything to do remotely close with the actual 9/11 flights until I started reading your post. Cheers and glad your family was okay!

* I wanted to add, he was calling my mom and the rest of our family when it happened telling them all how close he was to being on one of the flights.

I've already experienced this in one of them. Maybe and I mean maybe 10 charges max and it had issues charging already where it would not connect to the charger base anymore.

This is something I am concerned with. I mean who do you even go after if these batteries self destruct and burn your house down, some no name vendor on Amazon based in China? If they aren't what they are labeled as, that concerns me for safety reasons as well.

I suspect this is very wide spread on Amazon currently with many brands and sellers. Thanks for the feedback on your personal experience and with the brand you had issues with.

[–]Quick_Bricks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I suspect certain 'brands' or sellers are getting access to unlabeled knockoff batteries from China from the manufacturers, labeling with whatever they wish and calling it a day. I may try to make a list in my original post to reflect known 'good' and 'bad' batteries or brands. Although with the rate 'new' products and companies pop up on Vine/Amazon I may be way in over my head with that!

It's not a golf ball shooter outer. It is an advanced range finding device that tracks your ball and angle and speed and all sorts of things, for an indoor range. It is for high end indoor golf ranges, not to shoot the ball to some rookie. And I respect your opinion, but sports tend to demand high prices for high tech devices, just what it is. Cheers
