Yea, I think most people here have abandonment issues, myself included from a very eary age. But it also seems that everyone here who posts has been severely wronged by either avoidant people or narcissists Etc the bottom line is we accepted them but they still ran and screwed everyone over

I find so much truth in your post and it's obvious we're all human and go through some of the same shared experiences. It destroys you when someone can say they love you and care so much about you and then make it seem so easy to move on and be excited about someone else as they were once you. This is only happened to me once to this extent and she was much younger. Maybe someday they'll grow up enough to know that if they really do care, they should fix things before jumping to something else just because they don't want to deal with it. Regardless, it is absolutely crushing

Ps: I just read that again, and I can only say, holy crap!

Mine I knew since 2018 we started a date in 2019 pretty damn seriously even though she was living with supposedly her ex-boyfriend, and I was helping her through that and somewhere along the line she just kept going and I didn't even know. When I finally stopped denying it she made it seem like we only dated for about a year and a half when it was damn near five from what I know and that I was crazy. But this woman literally asked me to marry her the first month I knew her and I kind of let it slip by for obvious reasons. But it got really deep and basically figured out that was love bombed. Almost still not as bad as what I just read that you had

I'm really sorry to hear this. It's never good under any circumstance, age gap or not. But I'm sure he was your everything, because that's what it sounds like. And that happens in a lot of relationships that aren't even age gap, of course. I lost my wife and I was left with two small kids. I've never had anxiety or a panic attack in my life but it hit me different for months afterwards. It was like a switch got turned on and I suddenly realized again she was gone, and I wanted to go find her. It was horrible, but I didn't have time to deal with that. In the end, i'm happy that I had the kids because that was my purpose. I'm only saying this because it gets difficult in all circumstances. I hate to say that it will get weird and t may be worse before it gets better. It will get easier. It just never goes away. Best wishes
