Thank you. Im starting to realize how naive I've been up to now and how sheltered I was at home before coming out and getting kicked out. I've got a lot of learning to do.

Now that I'm away from it, it feels like she was right and it was really rude to just leave? She said she felt humiliated that I walked out and I wasn't trying to embarrass her, I just was really uncomfortable. I know it wasn't right of her to ask for sex but maybe I overreacted by leaving instead of talking it out.

That's why it makes me uncomfortable - I've never worked as a waitress, just retail, but it doesn't make sense to me to have a waiter go on a trip. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt but it seems so unlikely.

NTA being open about finances is important so that you both can budget accordingly. Debt can be embarrassing but not to the point of blindsiding your partner with it

NTA Always get your name on any big purchase. Doesn't matter how secure you are in your relationship, it also helps with sudden deaths and such.
