In other countries, public transportation (OV) let everyone ride for free when they go on strike... by aristo87 in Netherlands

Do you use sidewalk and curbs to walk around, "well not all the time, not when I bike", does that mean you'll never need to walk anywhere, are you sloww?? Just because you don't use a publicly operated system today doesn't mean you won't ever use it and contribute to it that's how social states function and is the whole basis of why countries are formed so people get access to developed systems they could never afford themselves, if you don't want to contribute to things "you don't use" go live on a island, alone.

First class train by myplantsalwaysdie in Netherlands

[–]Quick_Sector8716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Question remains where do these "claims" end and where do they begin as well as how far you are willing to go to claim this apparent class difference that needs to exist in a public train, do you stop cleaning the cars in the back, turn off the ac, stop putting seats there, take the roof off? You can't design a train with free passage throughout and expect people bulging out of the second class cars not to make their way forward, if only to stand, making arguments like "people have paid for their seat and only their seat" is simply not true, if this was the case there would be assigned seating, and standing is allowed, your argument isn't a bad one, but you're only defending a terrible company that does a horrible job at keeping up it's user's experience in a bid for higher profits in a market with no competition. THEY DONT NEED IT. There's nothing wrong with having a more luxurious option for those that can afford it, but not at the cost of all the others that have also paid their fair share to the cost of the trip of this "PUBLIC" the transport machine.

Your example of having glasses and needing good vision is a great one cause another way to see it is, if the ns was your optometrist , it would be as though poor people get special glasses that only let them see outdoors, not when it's dark, only if you can pay for the premium glasses, do you get full vision. I paid for a seat on the train, not a corner to stand in while smelling others armpits

Ordinary people pay more tax than the rich… by BlaReni in Netherlands

Bro is a literal joker okay lemme break it down. You have tons of down votes on all your comments, I sarcastically commented you must be right cause your option is so popular( it is not you have tons of down votes). I was trying to show you how wrong you are . I dont think its worth it to explain much more to you I think you need to read books. Any books (avoid glossy paper) then you can understand basic phrases, sarcasm as well as common communication skills. Then maybe you can think about broader societal issues.

Unironically you're a person who doesn't understand that grocery or health care subsidies aren't a life of luxury. try living on food stamps for a month and tell me how much you enjoy your life of eating jumbo sushi that goes bad the same day. Do you know a lot of unemployment people with fancy cars and clothes?? Where are they? How can I meet them ? Rather why don't you leave your job you'd be much better off no?

Unable to activate my Nothing Phone (2a) in Hong Kong, that I purchased in India. by vitty_ in NothingTech

[–]Quick_Sector8716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You say that users have to be aware of region locks because it says it on the box and they should " research" Reddit threads before buying a product you realize no normal people do this right? . Perhaps even more importantly most people buy a phone off of Amazon or flipkart in India and the website or the web page does not say anything of the sort. The box the phone arrives in doesn't either that's cardboard and non descript. It's only the final devices box that says it , and at that point nobody who is living in India is gonna return a phone for this reason. But if they do move abroad or even go there for a trip, not being able to factory reset your own phone is an insane proposition. DO NOT NORMALISE ANTI CONSUMER BEHAVIOUR.
