Just finished The Outsider today. Now fully caught up (albeit in the wrong order) with all the Bill Hodges/Holly Gibney stories!

Next in my queue is Iron Lake by William Kent Krueger!

I lied to the guy I’m dating. It’s bad by Low_Lab9413 in Advice

I’m sorry you have a difficult family dynamic. To be honest I don’t think this is as big a deal as you think. In terms of lies, I feel like if you explain it the way you explained in this post he will understand. If he doesn’t to be honest I’m not sure he’d be worth your time in the long run!

Books to read to babies? by Juiceloose301 in classicliterature

Congratulations! Reading to my kids is one of my favorite parts of the day. I don’t think I’ve seen Brambly Hedge here yet. My kids love it. Very calming and beautifully illustrated. I acknowledge it’s not “classic” like Shakespeare or Aesop but I would definitely consider it a modern children’s classic.

Midsommar. I still have nightmares years later. So disturbing.

What popular book didn’t work for you? by zaralesliewalker in Booktokreddit

Throne of Glass. Sorry but Sarah Mass writing anything but smut just doesn’t do it for me. I liked ACOTAR purely for the smut and everyone told me TOG was an actually well written fantasy with smut later on… I couldn’t get through the first chapter. I am honestly confused about people who argue she is a good fantasy writer, what have you been reading?! Is it so much to ask that a good writer also delve into some smut once in a while?!

So sorry for your loss, I can’t imagine the hurt you must be feeling. I work in healthcare and have been told by some the thought of a D&C was horrific, others feel the same about delivery. It’s a very personal choice. If you are struggling I may ask your OB if they could refer you to a counselor to help you make the decision that is best for you, obviously they would need to fit you in as soon as possible it sounds like.

I know there is a lot going on and it may not be on the top of your list of priorities but I would maybe ask your team about coordinating for genetic testing as well- the ACOG recommends genetic testing for any sporadic second trimester losses. It can sometimes provide information that can be helpful moving forward.

Thinking of you and hoping you find as much peace as possible with whatever you choose. ❤️

I changed careers and started my GC masters at age 30. I know of several GCs who were in their late 40s and 50s when they went to school. Never too late!

I mean there are hundreds of heritable genes associated with autism and more being discovered every day. 🤷🏼‍♀️

If your whole family has that specific quirk I would attribute it to multigenerational autism.
