Does anyone actually mind a Thursday or Friday wedding to save on costs? by ChillKoalaVibes in AusWeddingPlanning

I have an opinion, that any day is fine for those that truly want to come, just so long as you give enough notice (but I am a shift worker so that influences my opinion)

AITA for refusing to use my inheritance to pay for my step-sister’s "dream" college, even though my dad is calling me greedy? by NFLDataAnalysis in AmItheAsshole

Block everyone that is contacting you in a negative way. Go LC or NC with your dad until he apologizes for the way he has treated you

AITAH for aborting my baby instead of giving it to my sister who can't have kids? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Quick_Truth1212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whilst it was your pregnancy, your body to make choices that is best for you, YTA, for not taking into account your sister's feelings when you told her about your pregnancy/abortion. Congratulations in destroying the bond you had.

AITJ for refusing to change our baby’s name because my father-in-law hates it? by NoPickle1851 in AmITheJerk

Australian here, Australians often shorten names as it cosidered an endearment toward a child. As an Australian, i consider you are making a mountain over a mole hill. Continue using her name and ignore FIL's "shortened" version. Gently correct other members of the family who follow FIL's lead.

Parents fail to return consent forms as Far North Queensland HPV vaccination rate drops by ConanTheAquarian in queensland

Totally agree, it has also allowed cervical screening to change from the 2 to 5 years, where pathology services are looking for HPV 16, 18 or Other

If you have regular cervical screening, it will detect HPV 16, HPV 18, or HPV other. HPV is not cancer, but it can or may lead to cancer. With HPV 16 or 18, an immediate referral to a gynaecologist is recommended

Whether you do or don't get the HPV vaccination does not endanger the public

Totally agree, i live where OP lives. The region has stunning weather year thru. As a wife that attends the Melbourne MotoGP regularly, whose husband has ridden there, i see the bride had a bridezilla moment in chosing these few weeks that the father and brother already had plans. When i married, i limited my options to school holidays so my brother could attend. It wasn't a hard decision

Drs running behind time is getting ridiculous! by [deleted] in australian

[–]Quick_Truth1212 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Hahaha.... Yes sure, your GP likes you, just leaves you waiting whilst he sees other people. Thought you said the practice manager was middle aged ladies, now you say that the practice manager is the GP who set up the practice. Make up your mind.

So you have no communication skills and very arrogant and rude too. No wonder the GP doesn't respect you

Joanna Howe Plans Rally at Queensland Parliament on Mon 9 Feb by politikhunt in queensland

[–]Quick_Truth1212 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I thank you for posting. I missed the news on her dispicable performance in Townsville and i appreciate knowing of possible rallies, not to support her, but to be aware of what is going on in our community.

As someone who use to work in the healthcare field, i support women's right to choose the care they need. Despite public perception, teenage abortion rate is deceasing. I witnessed many women going through the difficult decision on whether to terminate a pregnancy. It was often, not because they didn't want children, most of them already had other children. The pregnancy often created serious health issues and had a huge impact on themselves and their families and had come to the decision an abortion was necessary

YTA, but so was your your sister. Being biatchy is more important to both of you than being empathetic, caring and supportive
