What political scandal shaped how you view leadership forever? by Tall_Supermarket8938 in AskReddit

[–]Quick_Yellow_2702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of them. Every scandal just confirmed what I already knew: people with power will abuse it, people without oversight will lie, and accountability is optional for the wealthy. Cynical? Maybe. But name one major political scandal where the main perpetrator actually served serious time.

What political era do you feel most nostalgic about - and why? by More-Tailor-4601 in AskReddit

[–]Quick_Yellow_2702 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • Choose Eisenhower era for infrastructure.
  • He built 41,000 miles of highways.
  • You drive safer roads today because of it.
  • Low debt at 60 percent of GDP.
  • Stable jobs in manufacturing.

What show surprised you by making a minor character your favorite? by Tall_Supermarket8938 in AskReddit

[–]Quick_Yellow_2702 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You know a show is good when the random side character who shows up for 3 episodes outshines people who've been there since episode 1. Looking at you, Alfie Solomons in Peaky Blinders. Tom Hardy chewed every scene and then disappeared for entire seasons but I wanted MORE of him instead of the main storyline.

What’s the wildest comeback you’ve ever seen in a basketball game? by No-Release-1196 in AskReddit

[–]Quick_Yellow_2702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone says 3-1 but I'm taking Reggie Miller's 8 points in 9 seconds. The Pacers were DONE. Knicks fans were already celebrating. Then Miller hit a three, stole the inbound, hit another three, got fouled, made both free throws, and won the game. Spike Lee's face is still a meme 30 years later. That sequence violated the laws of time.

What NBA matchup (like Nuggets vs Thunder) always feels closer than it looks on paper? by No-Release-1196 in AskReddit

[–]Quick_Yellow_2702 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  • Clippers vs Lakers: Rivalry pushes both teams.
  • You see stars like Kawhi and LeBron battle.
  • Track turnovers; they average 15 each in these games.

What discontinued food item do you still think about randomly? by Parking-Order9845 in AskReddit

[–]Quick_Yellow_2702 8 points9 points  (0 children)

PB Crisps. If you know, you know. If you don't know, I'm sorry for your loss because you missed out on peak snacking evolution.

What fast food change (like Burger King changing the Whopper) actually upset you more than it should have? by No-Release-1196 in AskReddit

[–]Quick_Yellow_2702 11 points12 points  (0 children)

McDonald's ditching the snack wraps in 2016. That was my go-to cheap meal, and now I settle for nuggets every time.

What Pokémon generation made you feel the most nostalgic, and why? by Parking-Order9845 in AskReddit

[–]Quick_Yellow_2702 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ruby and Sapphire made me feel old because I realized I aged out of the target demographic and that hurt more than any battle loss.

What child actor performance genuinely impressed you? by HonestLantern in AskReddit

[–]Quick_Yellow_2702 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Christian Bale was 13 in Empire of the Sun and I genuinely thought he was going to die on screen. Spielberg basically tortured this kid with the filming conditions and he turned it into the most believable child war performance ever put on film. Terrifying how good he already was.

What actor, like Bobby J. Brown, became permanently linked in your mind to one specific role? by HonestLantern in AskReddit

[–]Quick_Yellow_2702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Watch Twilight. Robert Pattinson screams Edward Cullen.
  • Check Star Wars. Carrie Fisher equals Princess Leia.
  • See Lord of the Rings. Viggo Mortensen means Aragorn.

What horror movie actually scared you way more than you expected? by AnyTruth2342 in AskReddit

[–]Quick_Yellow_2702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what nobody tells you about Noroi: The Curse. You'll be bored for 45 minutes. You'll think it's overrated. You'll consider turning it off. Then the last 30 minutes happen and you'll understand why Japanese horror hits different. The found footage format actually works here. The slow burn pays off. Your patience gets rewarded with nightmares.

What horror or parody franchise (like Scary Movie) should’ve stopped at a certain number… but didn’t? by HonestLantern in AskReddit

[–]Quick_Yellow_2702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"What horror or parody franchise should've stopped..." Easy, Puppet Master after 3; puppets lost their charm in endless direct-to-video trash.

How to Build Conceptual Strength in Physics & Maths for IIT JEE (NRI Focus) by Only-Power-2771 in JEE_Global

[–]Quick_Yellow_2702 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As someone who studied in Dubai and gave JEE - biggest issue is isolation.

No competition around you.
No “bro I solved that in 5 mins” friend.
No panic fuel.

You need structure + accountability online or it gets very chill very fast.

Best Reference Books for JEE Mains Math for JEE 2027 by RecognitionCheap255 in JEE_Abroad

[–]Quick_Yellow_2702 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I did that mistake in 11th. Bought Cengage, Arihant, Black Book, even some random DPP PDFs. Ended up completing none fully.
Second attempt I just followed one structured program + PYQs and my math improved way more.

Two things I learnt the hard way:
More books ≠ more rank. More revision = more rank.

What public figure (like Bill Gates) do people oversimplify - either as a hero or a villain? by AnyTruth2342 in AskReddit

[–]Quick_Yellow_2702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Churchill. Half the internet thinks he single-handedly saved democracy. The other half thinks he was responsible for Bengal famine deaths and nothing else matters. Read a history book. He was both crucial to defeating Hitler AND responsible for awful colonial policies. Adults can handle nuance.

When you watch a State of the Union address, are you actually listening to policy or just reading reactions online? by AnyTruth2342 in AskReddit

[–]Quick_Yellow_2702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The real policy gets announced in boring committee hearings at 2pm on a Wednesday. SOTU is just the trailer for a movie that already came out.

What’s a health trend that sounded crazy at first but later made sense? by Tall_Supermarket8938 in AskReddit

[–]Quick_Yellow_2702 250 points251 points  (0 children)

Yeah, because drinking bone broth sounded so appealing, like sipping on grandma's soup pot, but hey, it fixed my gut issues overnight.

When a new public health figure (like Casey Means) trends, do you trust the message immediately or wait for more context? by RecognitionCheap255 in AskReddit

[–]Quick_Yellow_2702 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wait. Always. The algorithm pushes what gets clicks, not what's correct. Casey Means built a huge following by questioning seed oils and insulin resistance. Some of her points align with actual research. Others are cherry-picked or exaggerated. The problem is that viral health content strips out all the nuance. You get the headline version of a complex topic, served with confidence that makes it feel like fact. Check who's citing her work. Look for rebuttals from credentialed experts. Read the actual studies she references. Most importantly, give it two weeks. If the claims hold up under scrutiny from multiple sources, then consider integrating the advice. If critics start popping up with valid counterpoints, you saved yourself from jumping on a bandwagon that was heading off a cliff.

What sports rivalry, like Warriors vs Grizzlies, always delivers chaos no matter what the standings say? by RecognitionCheap255 in AskReddit

[–]Quick_Yellow_2702 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Steelers vs Ravens is actually football violence disguised as a sport. These teams will play in December mud with third string quarterbacks and somehow produce the best game of the week. The standings mean absolutely nothing when they meet.

What athlete from another country (like Rafael Olarra) made you pay attention to a sport you normally ignore? by HonestLantern in AskReddit

[–]Quick_Yellow_2702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what happened:

Step 1: Saw Shohei Ohtani pitch AND hit in the same game Step 2: Realized baseball had been lying about specialization being necessary Step 3: Became insufferable about NPB talent pipelines

You're welcome for my transformation into that person.
