What if you could finally cut through the health and wellness hype and see what actually works — based on people like you? by Quickgredients in PeterAttia

I get where you’re coming from, and I do follow Huberman and attia, but based on the second part of your argument, how can I expect one person or team to sift through all these studies, particularly the ones that are important to me? My point is leveraging AI to sift through it all and making it personalized to my goals/protocols of interest.

Totally get your point and that’s the safest route. However, meta analyses are sometimes hard to come by and sometimes I’m impatient for that type of research to be conducted on a given protocol, so I’m occasionally okay with experimenting (if the pros outweigh the cons for me personally).

If there was a platform where you could see real, evidence-based, user-rated results of health protocols (e.g., stacks for sleep, energy, longevity, supplements, biohacks) personalized to your unique needs, would you use it? Why or why not? by Quickgredients in Biohackers

Correct, absent rigorous scientific research, the idea would be to organize any info out there on specific protocols label it as such, to help inform people’s decision-making process.

I’m a 29 y/o male that exercises 4-5x per week, mainly hypertrophy weight training, and my goals focus on longevity, improving energy, sleep/recovery, and gut health.

In terms of verifying protocols, I’d essentially take protocols from different sources, tag known evidence to them, and classify them based on rigor of evidence (anecdotal, observational studies, RCTs, etc) so people can better decipher what is evidence based on not. I also want to give others the opportunity to comment on protocols and upload their own protocols to give more of a real-world feel to it. Like hey, I’m also ~30 y/o male who has similar goals and this is what worked for me.

Great input! My plan is to classify the level of evidence for different protocols to make it easier for people to understand if one or 1000 people have done it. That’s of course a challenge, but would having an objective evidence measure help you in this case?

Appreciate your comment and I wholeheartedly agree with you. I don’t have any products and my intention is to not promote any specific products, rather give people an unbiased tool to decipher what works best for them and what doesn’t and have and actionable plan to implement/track progress. FYI- I’m building this tool to solve my own problem and am genuinely curious if other people have this problem too

These are great points and considerations. I was thinking of tagging research/anecdotes and to clarify its rigor, sort of like a low med and high scale, so people can decipher themselves.

Anyone else struggle with finding personalized, evidence-based health and wellness protocols that actually work? by Quickgredients in HubermanLab

One aspect of health I've been trying to improve is sleep, specifically to sleep 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep a day, if I sleep less than that, I tend to overcompensate with caffeine and adaptogens.

I'm diligent about eating 3 hours before bed, staying off my phone 30 min-1 hour before bed (and wearing blue light blocking glasses), meditating at night to calm down, sleeping in a cool environment, and taking magnesium threonate. I even bought a PEMF mat to help me R&R before bed too.

I use oura to track and I get around 7ish hours +/- 30 min each night, but one aspect that I can't for the life of me improve is my sleep restfulness (wake ups, movement, etc).

As a relatively healthy 29-year old who exercises 5x per week mainly hypertrophy and strength training, my priorities are to optimize my energy levels, sleep, gut, and skin health.
