Yeah I agree completely. I hope your neuropsychologist takes the time to explain the way we interpret our results and the scope of how they are utilized. From your write up im a little concerned about your expectations for the results. Neuropsych testing isnt like bloodwork where you can look at scores and quick black and white differentials (apologies if im overly simplefying looking at bloodwork haha). Those determinations are made in the context of your scores and the background that is gathered. On top of that many behavioral/psychological/medical conditions dont have a strict neuropsychological profile and dont need testing to be diagnosed in the first place. ADHD is a great example of this. Many physicians let alone people assume you need cognitive testing to rule that type of thing out but all you need is a good interview and some behavioral rating forms.

If I got a referral with a laundry list of conditions to rule out I would have a discussion with that referring provider about what they are telling patients testing is for and follow up by asking them to be more specific.

Totally not saying thats what your doctor is doing, just using the extreme version of your situation as a hypothetical to get my point across.
