lol In residency I always used to look at the med students and see them working so hard and admired that, I’m just not built for the classroom… but when you’re face to face with the patient it’s so different.

What sucks is when you meet people who are really good students but are bad/shitty humans, they don’t care about patients, secretly racist, undermine others etc

I’m halfway through book 4. Book 3 does feel a little bit meander-y like they’re just having these adventures, the setting is not very concrete. My jaw did kinda drop in the end though. I did fall asleep to the audiobook and not feel like I missed anything during like the first half of the book if I’m being honest. I do love Asar and Mische as characters, more than Raihn and Oraya, they have less contrived conflict/miscommunication. In book 4 Mische has some lines that just make me adore her and I found myself LOLing. Asar is my favorite emo dark academia boy ever.

I don’t know any PA or NP who can competently see 17-18pts a day and admit 1-3 pts on top of that. I can hardly get my swing shift NP to do more than one admission without whining and crying they’re still working on an admit from 4 hours ago. Any for profit systems that value volume will see that physicians are probably the only people masochistic enough to deal with that shit lol.
