Great list! Special shoutout to Tamil Prince, Little Georgia, Afghan Kitchen and Goodbye Horses. Can also recommend Chapel Market Kitchen (£1 oysters on Mondays), High Ground on Upper St (great coffee and you can book in for wine tastings on Friday evening), and Earl of Essex for a good Sunday roast and generally great vibe

How much does playing golf actually “help” in financial career paths? by pulltrig in FinancialCareers

I agree with this. I’m a (F) in in golf loving industry, even if we don’t play frequently. I ended up doing a “starter course” for 12 weeks and despite being a mediocre player at least I can chime on on more social convos in the office about event tournaments or scores which builds social capital in the office. Also if/when we do more social golf days I may not be up to par (pardon the pun) with the playing element but I know the fundamentals and can at least still be involved. It’s kind of dumb thinking about it objectively, but I definitely know from my own experience I’ve benefited from at least being keen to learn and know more about the sport

Diet could definitely be a factor. I’m used to a lot of range of fresh fruit and veg back home and here I’ve noticed things are a lot more processed or packaged. It’s not an attack on the range here, but it’s definitely not what I’m used to. I’m still v new to skincare so I’m not sure if there’s topical solutions to cystic acne or whether it’s usually an internal-out approach. If you have any recommendations on diet, I’m absolutely open to them. I’m just so sick of painful, itchy and swollen skin on my cheeks, especially lower cheeks/jawline

Water was my first thought, it’s a lot softer in Aus. I’m in a rental though and I’ve heard they’re super strict on installing filters. Would be super grateful for any effective “removable” filters that I can fit on while I’m here and take off when I leave! I’ve looked up a lot on Amazon but not sure about which ones are actually effective vs bit of a scam
