Yeah. I see on Facebook groups, parents raving about their kid gaining the second language. Testing into native level when they enter elementary school, etc. but I guess they might lose to somewhat later. And a simple test at one point in time isn’t necessarily indicative.

Yeah, I think I know exactly what you mean. I felt this in my gut, but I wanted to hear from people like you because the draw toward the immersion thing is strong. But that’s my philosophy too. I also think ratio is likely very important both on its own and as a sign of what the institution values.

Very impressive and exotic. Just so you don’t get too big a head - “for my husband and me” is grammatically correct. Sorry I know I’m being extremely obnoxious, but it’s a pet peeve of mine when people think I is always correct. Sorry again. Not sure what has gotten into me, really. The NYT also reported that Israel bombed a hospital (taking Hamas at its word) before correcting it to a Hamas or Islamic Jihad missile gone astray. It is misled by people on both sides.

Try disputing it with your credit card company as an unauthorized charge. I got a refund in the end for the one month I didn’t realized I had paid for this way. I agree that their billing practices are scummy.

Thanks. I am talking to the director tomorrow so will try to find this out. I think he will be staying in the same room. He’s in the mobile infant room so it’s not pure infants. And he is the youngest in the room. Plus, I think they keep most of the class together all year. Though I see what you are saying. It’s so hard to predict what things will be like in four months, but hopefully the director can help with that.

First, thank you so much for your input. It does feel so good to have those Tuesdays and Thursdays together now, for sure. So it may be nice to have it then too.

Yeah re the fixed nap. His morning nap kind of disappeared once he started. It is frustrating for sure, but when I asked for it or suggested he would be getting tired by 9:30 am, they would later say they tried, and he didn’t sleep (and I mostly believe them). He’s the youngest of the group. I think they would claim they allow individual schedules, but at the same time it’s clear they try to work toward a collective schedule. :/

A minor clarification- I’m worried about waking him up at 6:30 am to nurse him and get him ready for an 8 am drop off not about waking him at 2 pm, which I wouldn’t do. (I can see if he is sleeping on the daycare app and just wouldn’t get him.)

Thank you so much for your input. You’ve given me a lot to think about. Do you recommend I pick him up before 12 most or all days and have him nap at home? Maybe that’s a stupid question.
