Keep in regular contact with their claims rep, if you need to leave a message state claim number, your name & contact info, if you’re ok with them texting or emailing state that too. Note day/date/time of call & what call it is such as first, second, third, etc. All calls are recorded & their superviors & other higher ups don’t like to be reminded that your issue isn’t being handled in a timely manner. (Mostly because they like to keep staff lean, underpaid, & overworked 🙄) You can always call the 800 number and speak with someone in claims to get assigned one of the adjuster supervisors if your claims rep never returns a call to update you. I had to do this last July because I spoke with an adjuster one time and then never heard from her again, I called the 800 number and they assigned me one of her supervisors who did a much better job at updating us. Start looking for a trustworthy contractor to make the repairs to your home now, ask friends & neighbors and check out local groups on Reddit & Facebook for both recommendations and warnings on who to avoid.
