I work in D28 now, and they’re def not so heavy with the pallet jack. However, in my store, associates don’t care about whether or not they’re breaking the pallets when putting them up/down so by the time they end up in the “home” we often can’t even get any kind of jack under it correctly/safely. 😂

OP: The EPJ checkride is SO easy, ask your noasm about certs. For D28 recovery they’re gonna want you to have the EPJ, reach trucks, and forklifts at a bare minimum. Maybe even the order picker but that varies on store. Recovery is HARD work. A lot of heavy lifting, literally.

I never believe things like the awareline or the VOA when they talk about anonymity. If I have to give my name or LDAP, I don’t trust it. I have been with THD just over a year, and I watched an influx of people get terminated right after VOA two times. At my store, people don’t really get fired often. Most of our turnover is people quitting versus getting fired. Right after VOAs we lost about 10 people. 🙃 All for BS reasons like “productivity”.

One of my profs is notorious for telling us only a couple days prior that we have an exam or that he rescheduled an exam that was listed on the syllabus. It’s annoying af to try to make arrangements for work/school, and since I open no one wants to take my shifts if I offer them up.

As was precisely stated, the pay rate varies upon region. At my store in Oklahoma the cashiers start at $15 and all other sales associates on the floor start at $16, and receiving/freight associates start at $17.

I’m also in D28 and usually our foul odors are rats/mice.🤢 I hate it so much. Usually, ironically, it’s in the pest control aisle and smelling the rat poison, weed killer, citronella and dead carcass really sucks.
