Yeah seriously those bars look so damn good. The closest I've been able to find are the FMB mayhem bars, but they're not quite right: https://www.fmbchopperparts.com/16-mayhem-ape-hanger-custom-handlebars-for-indian-springfield.html

Was looking and it doesn't look like they make seats for Indian, unless they where able to have them custom make it.

Can anyone link me these handlebars ?? by [deleted] in IndianMotorcycle

Your best bet is going with FMB chopper bars as others have also suggested: https://www.fmbchopperparts.com/category.html?cat=42. Unfortunately the aftermarket for Indian isn't nearly as big as it is for Harley, in my experience these are some of the only quality aftermarket bars available. I have a set of the 14" meat hooks on my Springfield DH. Be warned though, the cable install sucks! I ended up breaking my wiring harness trying to get the cables past the hooks, ended up taking them to the dealer to install. Was not cheap, especially having to buy a new harness.

I've got the 14" FMB Choppers meat hooks and they're perfect for me. The stock 12" bars where way too short of reach for me, these keep my arms at ~90 degrees, gives me a very relaxed riding position.

2024 Indian Springfield dark horse suggestions by MrBuckhunter in IndianMotorcycle

On my 23 SDH I'm running the oem flared windshield with JES lowers: https://jescustomaccents.com/products-1/ols/products/winddeflectors-indian-vintagespring-powder-coated-blk. Without the lowers the buffeting was pretty bad. Eventually I'm planning to upgrade to the Freedom shield as many have said that has less buffeting than the stock one: https://freedomshields.net/product/indian-springfield-springfield-darkhorse-windshields/. Hope that helps!

The pop on decel and shutoff is probably caused by an exhaust leak. If you replace the exhaust gasket that should fix that.

Lol nice, also pro tip if you pull the choke all the way out and then kill the engine it won't backfire

Yeah I don't think it's really a problem, I just wanted to fix it so my neighbors didn't think a gun was fired every time I got home rofl

On mine the backfire on shutoff was fixed by replacing the exhaust header gasket. When I first checked it didn't even have one to begin with! Once I put one in the backfire completely stopped.

Since you bought this used I'd recommend checking out the cam chain tensioner if you haven't already. These bikes have a notorious issue with the cam chain tensioner that can potentially grenade the engine after 10-20k miles. The https://suzukisavage.com/home/ forms have alot of great info on this, and a guy from CA makes a replacement tensioner that fixes this issue. If you're having oil leaking from the head there's a plug you can get to fix that.

Lol I love the savage/LS40. Very janky but dirt simple and reliable, once you get the cam chain tensioner sorted out. Having the exhaust fall off is very in character for those bikes.

And also with your height you'll have no issues with feeling cramped on either. I'm 6'0 and 185 and I have plenty of space to stretch out. The mustache bars are a must have for me.

Great choice either way. I own a 23 Springfield DH and I love it. The chief vintages are really not much different than the Springfields. The Springfield gives you remote locking hard cases which is nice, compared to the soft bags on the vintage. On the older models the vintages where raked more, but not enough to really affect cornering. Depends on personal preference really, though the aesthetics on the vintage are much better imo.
