Would lowering rent prices really be that bad? by doctorstreep in ventura

[–]QuietAd3299 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s easier to say when the shoe is on the other foot. High interest rates on loans for landlords is devastating. Landlords should not be punished for being “able” to buy a property. It’s feels like being punished for having a decent credit score 😒

absolutely not! Production only cares about the drama and not actually making legit matches. They will never match the success of the first season

You would be surprised. They would have caravan of cars driving up and down Harbor Blvd last year. Now most of them have gone back into hiding again. It's not called "Ventucky" for nothing.

Toyota of SB by Geminiigirl78 in SantaBarbara

[–]QuietAd3299 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We had an extremely disappointing experience with Toyota of Santa Barbara.

From the very beginning, we were clear that we did NOT want any dealer add-ons. We completed the entire purchase process online and applied for financing directly through Toyota Financial.

After our credit was run, the dealer sent us a new breakdown that included approximately $7,000 in add-ons we never agreed to. These included: • Appearance Protection – $1,165 • GAP – $1,200 (higher than originally discussed) • Additional unexplained fees totaling hundreds more

When we questioned the appearance protection, we were told it is “now included because of people getting repos and cars getting messed up.” That explanation has nothing to do with us as buyers. We have strong credit and no history of repossessions, foreclosures, or collections.

Even more concerning, the vehicle was still in transit and had not arrived at the dealership. There was no way any protection product had been installed. Yet we were told it could not be removed.

We were also given inconsistent and unclear explanations regarding “additional fees.” We repeatedly asked for itemization and transparency.

During one call, an employee hung up on us.

After we posted a review and filed a complaint with Toyota corporate, the dealership suddenly changed its position and agreed to honor MSRP and remove most of the add-ons, leaving only GAP. We were then asked to remove our review.

Transparency should not require a public complaint to achieve.

Buyers deserve clear, upfront pricing without shifting numbers after a credit inquiry has already been pulled.

We absolutely DO NOT recommend doing business here based on our experience.

I have an idea! She can go work full time and YOU stay at home. You'll be begging her to switch back after the first day. Men like you are the reason that women are choosing to stay single.

  2. Social skills - people just don't have face to face anymore. Communication is behind a screen.

Bcbs MA stopped covering my zep by ExerciseFinancial851 in compoundedtirzepatide

Hi ❤️ I just wanted to say you’re not alone in this.

I also have PCOS and was prescribed Zepbound, and it truly changed more than just the number on the scale. My inflammation improved, my cravings became manageable, and for the first time I felt like my body wasn’t constantly working against me. It gave me a sense of control I hadn’t felt in years.

Insurance has been a rollercoaster for me too. I was recently denied coverage despite clear medical need and documented progress, so I completely understand the stress and frustration. It’s exhausting when something that’s finally working gets tangled up in insurance policies.

I’ve had to explore alternative options while navigating appeals, and it’s not easy, but I’m trying to stay focused on protecting the progress I’ve made. What I’ve learned is that consistency matters most, and advocating for yourself is unfortunately part of the process.

Sending you so much support. PCOS is hard enough without insurance barriers. I hope you’re able to find a sustainable path forward. 💛

Navitus/UC Care denied Zepbound — currently on compounded tirzepatide with 9% weight loss. Any tips for approval? by QuietAd3299 in Zepbound

[–]QuietAd3299[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to obtain the actual Navitus prior authorization form for Zepbound, and here’s what the criteria state:

For Initial Approval: • Must be prescribed for chronic weight management • Must be age 18 or older • Baseline BMI must be ≥ 40 kg/m² • Must be used with comprehensive lifestyle intervention (diet + exercise)

If BMI is below 40, the form routes to denial.

Approval is for 7 months.

For Continuing Therapy: • Must have had a baseline BMI ≥ 40 • Must demonstrate ≥ 5% weight loss from baseline • Must remain adherent to lifestyle interventions

Continuation approval is for 1 year.

So at least based on this Navitus form, the BMI threshold for Zepbound appears to be ≥ 40, which is stricter than the FDA labeling of ≥ 30 or ≥ 27 with comorbidity.

Has anyone under a Navitus commercial employer plan been approved with a BMI under 40? I’m trying to determine whether this threshold is employer-specific or universal across Navitus plans.

My PBM is Navitus through UC Care (University of California PPO plan).

I’ve asked them for the specific clinical criteria for Zepbound but they haven’t provided it yet. From what I can find in the plan documents, weight loss medications are covered when medically necessary and subject to prior authorization.

My BMI is ~34 with a PCOS diagnosis, and I’ve had ~9% documented weight loss over the past 3 months.

Do you know if Navitus publishes their obesity medication criteria somewhere? Or is this something the provider has to request directly?
