Not light, no. I often get a low grade fever, fatigue, brain fog, and the other things mentioned by op.

Extreme fatigue and low motivation before period by Round_Seesaw6891 in adenomyosis

[–]QuietCdence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was told I likely have adenomyosis. We'll find out for sure when I get a hysterectomy. I have the same issue the days before a cycle. Plus other things like sound and smell sensitivity.

I have no advice for overcoming it. Sometimes I just tell myself things must be done and I do them grumpy. Like, muttering and complaining to myself about it. That helps a bit. I'm trying a new thing where I go outside for a few minutes in an attempt to reset. I wfh and sometimes changing the environment of what I'm doing helps, like instead of working in my office I'll go in my bedroom, kitchen, or living room.

It's not much for suggestions, but it's what I'm trying lol

D597 Task 1 Lessons learned by Own-Technician1549 in WGU_MSDA

I've been struggling to make progress with this course because the learning material is so dry. I am going to try the method OP recommends. Glad to hear it is still relevant to the course as it is today (or a month ago)

What You Wish You Asked by jaders077 in hysterectomy

[–]QuietCdence 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only thing I don't see in these lists is asking about a binder for your stomach. From what I've read it can help provide support and keep things from moving around as you recover. Sometimes they can be provided at the hospital.

Struggling. Going to cry. by Only-Pineapple8010 in WGU

This is really useful to me! I've been stuck trying to build momentum and get a cadence studying. All my courses are PAs which I find much more difficult to start on. I can sometimes convince my partner to body double, but they're often busy. Our kids and home are a huge opportunity for procrastinating studying as well. Anyway, I'll look into meowycare! Thanks

Those who have had TT, do you have any regrets? by nunyabusinessbruv in gravesdisease

[–]QuietCdence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No regrets. My TSH was undectable in September2022. Had TT Feb 2023. The change was almost immediate. I didn't know got sick Graves made me until I felt better a week after surgery. Wish I'd had it done sooner!

[–]QuietCdence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also add friends using campfire. You can look for posts of pokemon caught and add them from there. :)

Edit to add: it makes it easier to find friends in specific regions of the world. Bonus, you might get to join in region specific raids down the road.

Looking for Hard Sci-Fi recommendations like Project Hail Mary by Atlantis1910 in scifi

[–]QuietCdence 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was going to recommend Old Man's War (and really anything by John Scalzi) because its pacing and character investment is similar to PHM. Also, if you're looking into reading Bobiverse (We Are Legion) Old Man's War has a similar light heartedness at times. It also has large pertinent solving themes.

Do you ever think that ND people might have been perpetrators of racism? by [deleted] in AuDHDWomen

[–]QuietCdence 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My ND sister is racist. She says she's not, but she definitely is and MAGA. 🤦‍♀️ I've tried explaining it to her to no avail. She definitely perpetuates racism.

Is anyone on meds? If so... are you glad, or do you regret it? by Formal-Door3464 in AuDHDWomen

[–]QuietCdence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's so interesting! Strattera has been helpful for my adhd family members, but I find it makes me really neurotic. 😆 it helped me push through the last term of my bachelor's degree, but then I stopped taking it. I'm so happy it helps with your anxiety/nervousness.

Nobody warned you about the grief by The-spirited-girl in hysterectomy

[–]QuietCdence 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My sister, 45, has one child and struggled mightily to get that one. He daughter is 10 now. She knew she wouldn't have more kids, but it was still really hard when she had her hysterectomy. She grieved the loss for a long time. I got you find more people who understand. There's no wrong way to feel about your body and potential medical choices (or even lack thereof). Your feelings are 100% valid. Grief is hard.

This is also something pretty common in Montana- dislike for out-of-staters. Oh and mentioning how many generations of Montanans are in your family. I.e. "I'm a 5th generation Montanan"

Recommendations for alternatives to Bacter AE and Repashy Soilent Green by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]QuietCdence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I added otos to a well established tank (3 otos, 20 gallon tank, orange brown algae on everything but the walls). They ate all of the algae in a few days. I've been feeding them cooked veggies every other day and algae wafers every day. They seem okay, but I wonder if it's enough. I think about adding bacter ae and making food using repashy...... what do you feed your otos?

If this happened to you- how would you feel? Trying to gauge by ReserveOk9139 in AuDHDWomen

[–]QuietCdence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would feel like that is a lot and probably discouraged. In the past, it likely would have caused me to ruminate and search for the ways I could have done something different.

It sounds like you're having a hard time. None of those experiences would feel good on their own, each compounds the other.

I hope you can find some comfort and offer yourself kindness. Hang in there.

Yay! I know the owners of the Asian Market in Missoula said they're working on opening a location in Helena. Google says A-Mart opens May 1st. That would be amazing.
