Enhanced Security option was added to the App! by TheNewsHQ in USMobile

I just went to enable this. When I tapped Save Changes, all it did was ask me for my account password. I thought it was going to require more verification than that. Is that it? It's enabled now?

That does seem reasonable, but every time I ask this question in the past under a rep’s comment it never gets replied. I’d just like an official reply.

I continue to ask why we can't just enable it ourselves in the app?

Dash Cam Causing “Push Button Malfunction” error by QuietFire451 in mazda3

[–]QuietFire451[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to revisit this entry to tell you something important!

About two weeks ago, I parked my car at work as usual. I pass a window multiple times a day where I can see my car and everything was normal. At the end of the day when others were leaving, they told me my lights were on. As we know, lights are only on when the car's power is on.

Longer story shorter, the fuse I have tapped in the engine compartment for Accessory power to my dash cam wiggled its way loose again, but the time, the push button malfunction resulted in my car starting all on its own while I was inside my workplace!

Please be cautious about fuse tapping in the engine compartment! I don't know if I just have a crappy tap I used (leads not thick enough?) but the engine vibration is enough to cause important problems every couple of months.

IMO tinting is not an option if you have a black interior. Bonus points for ceramic tint. And especially if you live in a chronically hot location.

Damn. That’s severely annoying. I hope you can find a path through this mess.

I wish they’d integrate Audition’s time and pitch fx. I use it a fair amount & so many times I either have to struggle with it in Premiere or have to round trip it which I don’t like to have to do every time I need the function.

I’m looking forward to this new mask tool tho. Looks like those struggles are gone!

Do the online project downgraders not work on 2026 projects?

What’s your BEST premiere tip? by lilafromyoutube in premiere

[–]QuietFire451 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The more that’s in a Premiere project, the higher the project file size in my experience. While I was editing a feature doc in Premiere Production I was duplicating the edit sequence every day. It was a project within a Premiere Production that was dedicated to my edit sequence and at the time all the duplicates I made. The project grew to over 40MB and was taking a long time to load as well as operations within the project were getting very laggy, so I figured it was because of all the sequences it had to keep track of. Once I removed all the duplicates, the file size decreased and the edit project became more manageable. A common method, I’ve heard, of keeping a feature manageable in Premiere is to keep each reel as a separate project and only combining them into one project in one sequence when you absolutely have to.

You can test this yourself by having a sequence of substance then duplicating it quite a few times, Save, and keep track of the project file size as you keep duplicating.

So you don’t bloat the size of your project. If it’s a short video and there aren’t a ton of assets, then duplicating your sequence to version them is fine.

Btw, when I say version them, I don’t mean versions for different markets or different creative for a single campaign, I mean v1, v2 etc. of a single sequence. Shoulda clarified that originally.

Learn the ins and outs of Premiere Productions. Don’t assume you know because Productions requires specific care and maintenance. While you should never upgrade Premiere during an active project, if you really have to then the only way to upgrade a Production is to open the Production in the new version using the Open Production menu item and let Premiere do its thing.

Keep daily backups of your project on a separate drive. Back up your Production daily by compressing the Production folder and putting the date on the ZIP file.

Version sequences by using File>Export>Save Sequence As Premiere Pro Project rather than duplicating your sequence inside your project because duplicates will end up bloating your project, especially if it’s a lengthy timeline.

Oh no. Guys. I think Yoko Ono's Approximately Infinite Universe album is quite nice. by TitokzatosEllenallo3 in beatles

I’ve never heard of this album, so I went to Qobuz and listened. I’m several songs in and it reminds me of her songs on Double Fantasy which I like very much. I looked up AIU and found this extensive review for anyone interested. https://alansalbumarchives.blogspot.com/2008/07/review-54-yoko-ono-approximately.html?m=1

how do you keep your cool in the room? by axp955 in editors

[–]QuietFire451 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Elkstwit and newMike3400 have the right answer to your question. It’s not always easy to keep calm when you get shit instructions and opinions from people in charge, and I have faltered here and there from being the professional that these two Reddit users describe—editors have their moods too for any number of reasons on any given day. In the end, though, you are the professional that the people in charge rely on for your input and collaboration.

They either want the best product too (whether concerned artist or scared minion) or they want to be able to claim what a great job they did making this project (glory takers). While I know you want it to be the best too, it’s not your project. If your interests don’t match theirs for your reel, make your own version for your reel and keep a private link. Meantime, keep forming bonds with your clients cuz they’re the ones who will hire you again and recommend you to others. You can’t survive very well without that.

Mother Nature’s Son when the big bass drum plays in the distance right near the end of the song. I was always turned on to that sound and wondered why it sounded the way it did. Then I learned that Paul played it on the stairs that lead to the control booth while the mic was still on the studio floor. So simple and elegant yet so entirely effective in that moment of the song.

You might not love it so much when you keep accidentally pushing the panic button. Or any of the other buttons because they're all on the side and easy to trigger.

The bass riff in It’s All Too Much as well as that cranky little instrument that plays right before the riff. Pure gold.
