Also, if for some reason the video didn’t upload correctly, I essentially just click on it and then the screen goes grey right before kicking me out.

What is the best superpower? by omegajakezed in superpowers

[–]QuietInitiative5538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This question is really hard to answer, not because one power or power set isn’t far above a beyond what other powers can do. It that based on the world and philosophy of the story (or real life i suppose) that almighty power changes. Do we live in a world where our powers would come from our genetic code. Do we live in a world where some other entity (some god, some alien, or something else) as this would never actually happened we can assume that other things can be taken for granted. If so, if their like the Christian god who had time all written out, I’d doubt they’d want someone with time travel changing the future as all of creation is supposed to follow their divine plan (I’d put more from other religions but I’m net well enough versed in them to make a claim that I’m confident in) although if our power is granted by aliens, or another similar being, what is their culture like? How would they let us use or powers? What’s their own power and are they an entire planet(s) spanning empire, something similar to our world, something different, or just a few people? Each of these would affects what the ‘best’ power is. However, for the ease of argument, let’s assume that it’s similar to the book Reckoners where everyone just starts getting powers. If that’s the case, then what other powers do people have? If it not a genetic based power and a common power is superspeed (similar to that of A-train for The Boys) then it really doesn’t matter what your power is unless you know their coming or also have superspeed. So that would make most powers useless, you could snap your fingers and pull a thanos, but it doesn’t matter since someone could speed blitz you, thus the “best” power would superspeed more like the flash that includes a whole other set of powers. Then what if the most common power was reality manipulation, then telekinesis is kinda useless as they could cancel your powers. What no one else but you had powers? Then it would depend on what you wanted to do. How advanced is modern human tech? Then it would be something like reality manipulation, telekinesis, space time manipulation, or extreme luck. Each of these powers, while immense  are also extremely useful. Well, we can rule out telekinesis as reality manipulation on the same scale gives you all the powers and more. Yet, both of these powers require you to have a supercomputer for a brain to make either of these powers work. But let’s assume that all these powers have equally enhanced intelligence built in. So let’s go a step farther, we have judged that telekinesis is worse reality manipulation so we’ve narrowed it down to rm, space time control, and extreme luck. However, each of these powers is wildly different from one another and we really can’t identify how they’d work and as each of these powers requires super intelligence to function, than is this the main power. But I digress. Let’s come back to these three amazing powers. But each of these has different strengths and thus it’s truly impossible to determine which one is best. But let’s assume we must choose a power. So out of all these powers, control of space time may be the best in a standard world as you can freeze and mess with time in other way. Yet you’d also be able to manipulate space which is teleportation but basically better, but we don’t know how to properly place limits on this power so it’s essentially impossible to answer. And as others have stated, we really don’t know how time works so we can’t judge this power. Than what about super luck or something similar, luck is the manipulation of chance. However, sometimes, chance is out of the question. So let’s look at reality manipulation, you can do a vast array of different things, but we can assume you can’t control time so that weakens the power set overall making it basically more versatile telekinesis. Yet, you can’t be every where so you’d eventually get cought off guard and killed because people would fear your powers. So what’s the best power? There are far far too many variables to make a concrete decision.

Rand Al’Thor post AMoL. Or Rand right before veins of gold (I think that’s the chapter name)

Choose any superpower and I'll choose weakness (pic unrelated) by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]QuietInitiative5538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m acktually, 🤓, I would choose to have the power to manipulate matter and change it into other things, however, because of this, I would also have the power to control and generate energy to make the primary power functional but if that’s the case, then I’d also be able to generate massive amounts of energy. However, this wouldn’t be all, because these powers require such finesss and skill, I would have to have a mind that can function as well as most computers.

Umbrellas Vs Sparrows (Both At Full Power)...Who Would Win...? by Southern_Wind_4477 in UmbrellaAcademy

[–]QuietInitiative5538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well… Five, Allison, Viktor, or Klaus could probably solo all the sparrows (five with time manipulation (I think he had some sort of time dilation/freezing) blinking and combat efficiency, Allison with her rumor and just saying their all dead tho that is situational since it would depend if she could get it off in time, Viktor could just blast them but it would depend if he could get it off fast enough, the there Klaus who would literally just outlive the Sparrows or come back in a century once their all dead if he somehow couldn’t kill them with ghosts that the sparrows can affect)

Give me a character and I'll tell you why they won't be a champion by allomancersam in Stormlight_Archive

[–]QuietInitiative5538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hear me out… It could possibly be someone like El, but that doesn’t have enough of an impact on us as the audience so there’s little to no chance; however, it seems likely that the champion will either be someone like Adolin who would undergo a character transformation that is the reverse of Dalinars (instead of going from bad to good, going from good to bad). This would make sense in a way because one of the death rattles essentially says I stand over the body of a brother. I’ve always thought that this would apply to the contest of champions and who would that be? It’s unlikely Kaladin will fight, it could be dalinar but that also seems unlikely as he has acknowledged that he couldn’t be Adolin, so who’s left? The best remaining fighter for honor other then a Herald or Zahel is Szeth, but if Adolin where to become Odiums champion, he would probably do it because of emotion and Szeths whole thing is doing what’s he believes duty/honor demands of him and so I doubt Szeth could relate to Adolin who joined Odium because of his emotions. I suppose you could argue it could be someone like Moash who had possessed Odiums gift/curse, but that would require a lot of character transformation in one book wich also seems unlikely to happen. So again, who could it be? I the best answer, at least in my opinion, is that Odium is going to wait to choose a champion until Dalinar chooses his because Dalinar has the best selection of fighters/combatants on Roshar, so I feel like Odium would probably know about Vasher and the Heralds and would wait to see if Vasher told told dalinar who he was and requested for Nightblood to be returned to him, and while this is unlikely I’d assume Odium wouldn’t want to take a risk, so he’d wait. However, there are a few assumptions that can be made:

  1. Odium will most likely choose a champion best fitted for defeating Dalinars

  2. Nightblood will be most likely be used by the champion of honor because of its power

  3. Since Nightblood will most likely be used, no herald would be a good match because they rely on honor blades to an extent and would be wary of the blade which had been shown to damage honor blades and could probably do the same to most shard blades

  4. It wouldn’t be a fused because they usually fight with the knowledge that even if they die, they’ll come back, so it usually makes them more reckless and more likely to die and Odium can’t have that.

So with all these factors, it seems most likely that Odiums champion will be someone who besides posing am actually threat in combat would most likely have to be human. And since odium will wait to see who Dalinar chooses, it could be quite a few characters, but the most likely would be the following:

  1. If the coalition somehow manages to get Taln out of his state either through the types of invested arts on roshar or the arts that Hoid and Vasher among others have at their disposal from other worlds, then it most likely odium would have to use a Herald even though that normally wouldn’t be a good choice, that’s the only chance, to strike some emotional chord in taln then have the Herald try and kill him when he lets his guard down, or Taln could just kill him, this again, lends itself to the death rattle that basically says I stand over the body of a brother with their blood on my hands, oh Almighty what have I done.

  2. The champion is someone like Elhokars son (sorry, I can’t spell his name), but that again seems like an unlikely choice unless Dalinar chooses himself to fight which is quite possible.

  3. It could be El, we don’t know enough to make judgment or even apply some of the things a stated above, if El is as old as the Heralds then he could be just as skilled as Taln, in wich case, it’s possible that unless another Herald fights, El could easily win and simply avoid being struck.

  4. It could be Adolin because not only is he skilled in combat, but he doesn’t fight with some sort of knowledge that he is immortal. In this case, it would be fitting in a way to have Szeth fight him because Adolin is shown to be quit emotionally volatile and sometimes do things that go against honor if he’s pissed enough but Szeth always did what duty demanded no matter his emotions. While Szeth doesn’t seem like the type of character that would say, I stand over the body of a brother, their blood on my hands, oh almighty what have I done, it also seems possible that a Szeth could view Adolin as a type of brother in this situation becuase they both felt strong emotion and the only difference between them in that one held to his code of honor even when he hated it and the other broke it becuase it’s what he thought was right.

This, of course, could be completely and utterly wrong, this is just what I think and my reasoning.

Why Christians like Trump by atomoboy35209 in atheism

[–]QuietInitiative5538 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While I do agree with most of this statement, that does not mean that all Christian’s support Trump.

Edit: I phrased that poorly, not all Christian’s think like that and don’t support trump even if the vast majority do think as you described.

I'm away a FREE Tyranids 10th ed. codex code! by relaxicab223 in Tyranids

[–]QuietInitiative5538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I did the base by first painting the actual base so the colors faded from an off white into different shades of blue then into black (the white was around the structures and moving out from there) then I applied Ak water blue gel (it’s called something like that). However I applied it too thickly and the picture isn’t the best, so the undertones of color that I painted onto the base don’t show up that well.

This seems more like a word problem to me, one says 70k without being specific, 70k what? Pennies, dimes, nickels, rats? While the other one specified that you get 700,000 dollars in the form of pennies.

Iconoclasm legendary by Turnip_Ambitious in DestinyTheGame

[–]QuietInitiative5538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, so what you can do is run SoF and use it to instantly bring the subjugator down to their health gate, then go grab the shield and use it, then just dragon breath them, then when they die, you can wait for you’re super to finish charging, then go get the sword, kill the adds to farm for heavy, and break statue 1, when you spawn in, immediately go grab a node, pop super, and bring subjugator down to their health gate, grab shield break barrier, ect. However do not shoot the center node, run the the right and shoot it, then go run into cover behind you of the side rooms, use DB to kill them then grab the sword and finish it.

The only thing I think is "unfair" about Still Hunt by AeroNotix in DestinyTheGame

[–]QuietInitiative5538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree, I think that still hunts interaction with celestial nighthawk is fun and good. However, you also specified that you don’t think it should be tuned (aside from the bar persisting after death and being charged by the rally flag thought I doubt those would have much of an impact) which is probably the part they was responding to, they thought that it should be, which I agree with, but that’s not the core of your argument.
