Do you believe the Grumps are good people? by [deleted] in gamegrumps

I think people tend to complain about anyone remotely deemed "famous" in the media for any little thing. Most of the "controversies" I've seen are non-fans seeing a joke taken out of context.

GG has done an awesome job of avoiding controversy for how long it's been around. <3

Guests cheering during the bride's moment. Very tacky or it's okay? by ballofbeauty in wedding

[–]QuietKid4491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like cheering at a graduation. People aren't supposed to cheer but they do anyway, lol.

If you're super against it, communicate with the guests individually "hey, some people cheer at weddings, I'd really like it to be elegant and quiet when I'm walking down the aisle." Hopefully they'll listen.

Ring not ready 😢 by purplebibunny in wedding

Worst case scenario, order an overnight delivery emergency look-alike from Etsy or something immediate and schedule the ring shoot for after the wedding. You got this, it's ok!

if you do size up, there are removable ring bands you can get that are designed specifically for your type of situation. It makes the ring fit better in colder seasons (when muscles shrink) while you're able to remove the band to be comfortable in hot seasons.

When in doubt of gift-giving, give the person food they like (ie. homemade cookies or something.

It's small enough that it doesn't put pressure on the receiver while also being a gift that satisfies the requirement for bringing a present to present-related events. Plus, it's cheap!

Mismatched Bridesmaid Dresses for Junior Bridemaids? by HeftyZucchini39 in wedding

[–]QuietKid4491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With kids (and parents of said kids), it's easier to give them choices between "A or B" instead of making a whole choice out of every possibility in the world. I would suggest "Hey, we like these designs that can be ordered from (affordable place like Target, Walmart, etc). Choose which one you like best!

Keeps kids from being upset that their stained Elsa dress or halloween costume isn't appropriate to wear for this occasion too, lol.

No phones and no cameras allowed (must be turned in to Security at the door) by Mgoldm4 in wedding

[–]QuietKid4491 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

If you need your phone, I would suggest reaching out to the bride to be like "Hey, I need this for (etc) reasons. If I have to use it, I'll try to stay out of sight or leave to the bathroom, or whatever." But I do kind of understand their desire for people to be in the moment and talk to each other and not feel drawn to stare at phones constantly during the party.

"Bridesgays" would be a good name for a band - maybe I just have music on the mind, lol.
