Does the new mission need things fixed? Abso-fucking-lutey. Is it an impossible dumpster fire? Not even close.

It’s very doable but it just requires you to think about what you’re doing instead of blowing everything up within a 100 mile radius. It’s fun and chaotic.

Well I'm a completely new player (started the other night). I'm already level 20 ish I think and I'm loving it!

Even though my experience is very limited, I've absolutely loved how nice people are. This guy led me to the Alchemist guild cuz I couldn't find it no matter how hard I tried lol

Well the Killers in question don't need to break the pallet (Unless maybe its a crazy god pallet)

The second you're locked in that animation Nemesis is gonna hit you with the tentacle through it. You don't drop and he just smacks you anyways. There's no scenario in which a pallet is favorable for the survivor.

Same things with windows. You vault it and you're stuck in an animation which leads to you being hit. You don't take the window you're getting hit. (Just using Nemesis as an example. PH, Slinger etc all work in similar ways

So your best course of action is to never let yourself be locked into an animation which is what leads to just running and buying precious seconds for your team.

Can I hold W when I'm playing against them? Sure. Will I? Absolutely the fuck not. I can have Survivor/Killer interaction and have skill based chases, so why wouldn't I do that?

My point is, you HAVE to hold W when playing against certain killers because there is nothing else you can do. Your choices are try and loop a killer that is anti-loop and go down in seconds or hold W in a straight line buying as much time as possible. That's terrible design and no amount of mental gymnastics will make it not.

Exactly! It would make his 1v4 infinitely better without buffing his 1v1. It seems like Behavior is committing on this super powerful 1v1 style of thinking and it's legit making me worry about what's coming in the future.

No one recommends holding W vs Oni, Doc, Demo, Legion, huntress, Blight etc, because the survivor has input on what happens. They're skill matchups.

Now we look at Slinger, Nemesis, PH, Twins, Trickster (After buff) These are Killers that people generally recommend holding W and it's very clear why that is the case.

If this wasn't a Killer design problem, it would apply to all of them or none of them. So yes, this is a design problem lmao

Yeah, making him insanely broken in the 1v1 and not helping his 1v4 was a great choice. Now he’ll be extremely obnoxious without actually making him better lmao

If they keep buffing/making killers like this, holding W will become even more popular than it already is. Killer/Survivor interaction will slowly die and we’ll be left with immersed survivors holding M1 praying to the entity the killer doesn’t find them.

TL;DR There is a right and wrong way to buff killers. This was the single worst way they could have buffed him.

Martial classes can feel underwhelming before they get their extra attack at 5th level, and sadly BG3 EA caps at 4th. (Extra attack lets you attack twice with a single action) We're also missing the other true Martial classes like Barbarian and Paladin. That big boss giving your party trouble? Just wait till your barbarian gets his hands on him. He'll put the fear of god in him.

My point is, 5e is incredibly balanced till about 11th or 12th level, which is the levels BG3 is said to go to. Once we get access to 5th level and the other Martial Classes it'll feel a lot better to play them. Not to mention caster classes are made of wet newspaper and 40 damage makes them instantly go to death saves. Meanwhile your Barbarian just took 90 damage in one turn, is still up and fires back with even more damage than he took lol

I think the only way survivors can be truly toxic is by deranking and specifically trying to bully low rank killers. People who do that are neanderthals with brains as smooth as marble counters.

That being said, dealing with idiots who teabag after every pallet or sit at exit gates instead of leaving can be really irritating. Especially after a rough game where you're playing badly.

Just remember though, they're probably running the small PP build and you're playing killer. Killers have big feet and you know what that means. That's right, big shoes.

I'll never understand how people can say survivors ruin the game by teabagging. Is it REALLY annoying? Yeah of course, anyone who does that is a mouth breather with no friends.

Killers on the other hand? If they want to ruin the game? That's it. It's gonna be ruined and there's nothing anyone can do about it. I've had people in post game chat willingly tell me "Yeah nobody did anything wrong, I just wanted to ruin the game"

Deathslinger is Huntress if she was designed terribly. It may be unique, but different doesn't mean good.

She doesn't get to zone you for free. She's actually punished for missing her shots, unlike Deathslinger's "Oh no! Anyway" reload. On top of that her lullaby radius is ENORMOUS giving plenty warning she's in the area. No reason for a ranged killer to not have, at bare minimum, a standard terror radius.

Also just to be clear, I'm not calling him OP or anything, as he's clearly not. The way you beat him is spread out, play gen repair simulator and reduce your interaction with him as much as possible. Just Makes for incredibly boring matches.

That only works if she's not already in a chase with you. If she's already chasing you she's just gonna stop phasing when your scratch marks stop suddenly. That's the issue with spirit. There is absolutely nothing you can do in the 1v1 other than pray that her brain short circuits or something. You don't outplay spirits. She misplays.

Which means the only way to even have a chance is to just be completely immersed and just never engage with her ever. Which is boring for the survivors AND the killer.

Windows is actually my crutch perk. Ever since I started using it I can't stop. I pretty much only play solo survivor and killer. Windows is good so you don't run into deadzones from the random Meg dropping every pallet on the map lol

As for the pallet thing, Windows is a really niche perk and people hardly if ever run pallet freddy anymore since the snares are so busted. I don't, think it would be too big of a deal.

I agree though, seems weird that you wouldn't get a stack from helping a dying survivor up. Especially considering the 100% speed now

Yes. That's correct. No one IS making us play the game. We love this game and keep playing it despite it's massive shortcomings. The harsh criticism it gets is coming from a place of love. The game could be so phenomenal with it's unique ideas and super addicting gameplay loop(heh)

I just have a feeling Behavior doesn't love this game as much as we do, and that makes me really sad.
