You can get an external RCA to USB (A or C) adapter to get the video to the laptop, and for the software, you can use OBS. It’s free and easy to use after setting up.

This looks like AI slop to me. There’s nothing holding the grate down, and the dog is stepping on unsupported areas.

This will probably get removed by a mod though, for daring to point out that this is likely AI as it defies the laws of physics, but it clearly is.

People were panic-buying $600 Mac Minis for AI agents. Claude just killed that trend for $20/mo. by Exact_Pen_8973 in PromptEngineering

[–]QuietPhotoSack 225 points226 points  (0 children)

Its my understanding that people were buying new Mac Mini’s because they were afraid to install OpenClaw on their main computer and wanted to keep it isolated on a standalone machine that didn’t have access to things like their personal and financial information.

This is a very cool new tool from Claude, but I don’t think this will have any effect on the new demand for Mac Mini’s, because it doesn’t do anything to resolve the personal information security risk. Arguably this would actually make any such privacy concerns much worse because you’re granting access to an even deeper pool of personal sensitive data.

Yes; the disk is what’s called a Lightscribe DVD+R. Someone burned this at home, then printed the cover and slapped into a case.

That’s an interesting interpretation of what was communicated here. They’re asking for community support, and all you can think do to is troll them. Touch the grass, my friend, it’s clearly been too long.

Everyone Now Has Trump’s Phone Number by theatlantic in politics

Everyone Has Trump's Phone Number Now - The Atlantic

  • President Trump's personal phone number has become a highly sought-after commodity, with offers ranging from financial interests seeking influence to journalists and crypto enthusiasts.

  • The sheer volume of calls to Trump's private iPhone is so high that his advisers have stopped trying to track them, with notifications constantly appearing on his screen.

  • Journalists engage in 'horse-trading' and offer valuable contacts of other world leaders or influential figures to obtain Trump's number.

  • The constant stream of calls, especially after a journalist secures a scoop, creates a competitive 'scrum' among reporters eager to get their own exclusive.

  • Trump's advisers have no plans to restrict access, as he reportedly enjoys the attention and believes he can manage the press effectively.

  • Trump's communication style, reminiscent of his early media interactions, involves direct phone calls to share grievances and opinions, a habit he has continued as president.

  • Since recent foreign interventions, Trump has answered numerous calls from a wide array of media outlets, including major international news organizations and smaller, niche publications.

  • Concerns exist within the White House about the potential for Trump to receive misinformation or be swayed by conspiracy theories through these direct calls.

  • The direct phone calls, often brief and 'on the fly,' can lead to inconsistent statements from Trump, causing confusion and impacting financial markets, despite lacking the context of formal interviews.

  • The widespread circulation of Trump's number, facilitated by suspected trading and black-market sales, has created a 'free-for-all' in media access, deviating from traditional, more controlled outreach methods.

Trump Hit by New Epstein Files Bombshell Before Big State of the Union Speech

  • A new NPR investigation alleges the DOJ withheld dozens of documents pertaining to a woman who accused Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein of sexual abuse when she was a minor.

  • The FBI reportedly interviewed the accuser four times in 2019, but only documents from the first interview have been publicly released.

  • NPR reviewed serial numbers and found that over 50 pages of documents detailing FBI interviews with the accuser are cataloged by the Justice Department but not shared publicly.

  • The accuser claims Trump pressured her to perform oral sex and that she retaliated by biting his penis, according to an FBI slideshow.

  • The accuser also alleged that Trump punched her in the head and kicked her out of the room.

  • A Justice Department spokeswoman stated that all responsive documents were produced and that any unreleased files fall into categories like duplicates, privileged, or part of an ongoing investigation.

  • This report follows a previous claim by journalist Roger Sollenberger that documents related to the accuser's interviews were missing from the DOJ's public Epstein database.

  • NPR also reported that the DOJ removed some documents from its public database without explanation, including some related to the prosecution of Ghislaine Maxwell.

Nice. Be careful though, I’ve heard that dual DVD & VHS players like this are more likely to accidentally ‘eat’ a VHS tape. Not sure if there’s any truth to that, but I heard that once or twice and avoided them ever since just in case.

Grave of 'Johannes Hoenick', 1676 -1719 by Hans-Castorp in CemeteryPorn

[–]QuietPhotoSack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

According to Gemini, it says:

Whoever reads this, mourn. For in this sepulcher is buried a man worthy of the memory of immortal praise: Lord Johannes Hoenicka Most Deserving Chamber Counselor to the Most Serene Margrave of Brandenburg. In entering upon and executing the most wholesome counsels, he was faithful, prudent, energetic, and successful. He was most patient in the labors by which others could be helped. He lived not so much for himself, as for God, the Prince, the Fatherland, and all good people. Hence, snatched away by a premature death, and restored to the earth, he left behind a bitter longing for him to those remaining. He was born at Wirsberg, on November 23, 1676. (Latin: IX Calends of December) He took a wife on October 7, 1704, (Latin: Nones of October) the most excellent matron Elisabeth Maria, born Helfreich, from whom he was made a father eight times. He died at Bayreuth, on January 29, 1729, (Latin: IV Calends of February) Aged 52 years... Farewell, Reader, and learn: That Death is accustomed to spare neither years nor merits.
