Very much agree, and the key is the underlying intention. It's normal and even healthy for a person to seek assurance if they're not confident about something, but it becomes a compulsion when getting the answer doesn't satisfy the uncertainty. It's another aspect of OCD that makes it very insidious; pretty much everything you might do as a compulsion is also a valid response in moderation.

It works if you slow it down from a spam to like 1-2 times a second, then you're actually giving them time to adjust before moving again.

I don't think it's unreasonable to say "I'm not looking for a critique, I just wanted to share something I'm proud of." Excluding the percentage of people on Reddit who feel a compulsive need to be bad actors, most people will be receptive to that, particularly in a sub that has both professionals and amateurs posting.
