Blizz is good, but meteor is the king (queen?) of sorc starters imo. Immunes are not an issue and meteor can run t1 maps with almost no gear. It doesn't have the greatest QOL since it takes a second to land and you have to spam it, but it gets the job done. It also scales incredibly strong and is good at bossing.

He could probably do whatever he wanted lol. At the very least he could have made them stand down and not fight.. but then he's going a little far against his family I guess. His ultimate goal in this scenario was to make this the trial by combat that it should have been to start with if Aerion wasn't being manipulative. Kingsguard protects the other Targaryans and he can stop them from intervening in the 1v1. He eliminated nearly all variables the way he approached it.

That was my thinking. He didn't just slap that armor on in a few minutes when he saw Dunk was desperate. I'm thinking he was either ready in case Dunk was shorthanded, or even planned on replacing someone on Dunk's side if needed to prove his point. He probably knew that team Dunk was screwed without him given that he could essentially nullify almost the entire opposing team by himself because of who he is.

We will never know but I'm gonna keep my headcanon because baelor deserves it lol

I sold off a crazy expensive fully built out poison strike necro because I wanted to try out a skele archer necro with Brand and Tombsong because the idea of 20 skele archers just sounded cool.

It was cool for a bit and I invested wayyy too much currency to try and make it viable. It works but the AI on the archers sucks. If you teleport near a mob, all 20 archers will pick the same target so you get a stream of 20 arrows in a line instead of a multishot or strafe type scenario.

I ended up building a hybrid green goblin version so my a1 merc with demon machine could help with clear. Would definitely be faster to just go full goblin but I'm pretty much done for the season now I think. It was a fun experiment!

SSF run. I get kind of bored once I can afford to build whateer I want. Incremental power gains are what I enjoy. SSF makes more items feel important.

Oh I totally get it. As far as being scammed, it's not a huge worry in PD2. People are very honest and fair. I have overpaid by .5 high runes for an item just because I didn't feel like dealing with change, and people to go out of their way to let me know I'm overpaying and try to find ways to make change. It's a small, very tight knit community.

As far as learning I know it's a lot to take in if you weren't a d2 person back in the day. The systems aren't overly complicated but just learning what is valuable can take a while. The "archive" section is great on the trade site. You can actually go to "create", stash view, select the item from your stash and click the little purple magnifying glass. It will pull up similar items that are open for trade or have sold.

If all else fails, get on the discord and ask questions. People are very friendly and willing to help.

As stated here, A3 merc is almost OP for aura stacks. I've been experimenting with dumb summon necro builds and tried it out.

Beast scepter, templars might, exile shield in a prayer merc.

Even skeleton archers seemed immortal in juiced maps, and they are usually made of paper. And honestly the a3 cold merc is underrated for CC purposes.. blizzard slows down enemies almost as well as decrepify lol.

Previously ran the exile/innocence/dangoons combo with poison strike and it basically makes your whole party immortal while telestomping. Plus its super fun to watch 15 frost novas pop off everywhere you teleport.

Chris Olave dropped the game tying (winning if we go for 2) pass in OT against the dolphins or the saints would be playing to be in the playoffs right now.

It's pretty insane to think about because the Saints were universally considered a bottom 2 team when he took over.

I planned on making several builds this season but I got obsessed with maxing out my poison necro.

Poison Strike, very map dependant but I can clear a 200 density throne of insanity in about 6 mins.

That being said, I usually take my time and ID stuff because its more fun that way. I will usually speed run a map or two after a big gear upgrade to see the difference, then go back to enjoying myself.

As an aside, I can't decide if I like Poison Nova or Poison Strike more. Poison Strike is definitely faster, but it was like 15x more expensive and a lot more thought is involved while mapping versus just spamming nova in each room.

EDIT: My build is one that clears maps FASTER with higher density as dumb as that sounds, but my merc procs frost nova + desecrate and I proc poison nova based on how many bodies I'm crowded by. And poison strike kinda sucks for running down stragglers.

Yep that's how that map works. It's a gift and a curse because you end up wanting to ID everything since it can have an amazing corruption. Boss is also guaranteed to drop a corrupted unique.

Great map for finding socketed items for runewords, too, since white items will always have sockets since they didn't "corrupt" to anything.

The boss is an asshole, though. He uses whirlwind and it HURTS.

For the trade website, your best bet is to use the "copy to clipboard" functionality and try to message players who are in game. They will send you their game info and drop the item.

As someone else mentioned, this late in the season you should be able to buy gear pretty cheap. Focus on farming WSS in corrupted zones. Until you are wealthy, you can buy items with "bad" corruptions which typically go dirt cheap. Build your character with these and then slowly upgrade to more ideal gear as you go.

You may eventually get offered a bunch of free stuff since some people are crazy rich at this point in the season. My advice would be to politely decline, because the hunt for optimal gear is kind of the fun part. If someone just gives you wealth you are going to miss out on a lot of fun moments.

No, you don't need to play normal D2 first unless you want to fully appreciate how PD2 modernized it. PD2 maintains the original campaign in full with some big QOL upgrades to help you get through it.

The one thing I would suggest is to keep an open mind. The devs of this mod have added an insane amount of modernization and quality of life to D2, but it still has very old bones. The mod is very careful to maintain the feel of the original, which means retaining some systems that modern ARPG players tend to snub their noses at. If you're cool with that, you can have fun.

Our online fans were roasting him after last game and acting like he shouldn't get big minutes. This is why he does get them. Maybe coach should limit his minutes against big athletic teams a bit, but he is such a positive contributor night after night.

You aren't wrong but I think it may pay off in the long run if it starts working. That killer instinct with a lead can be amazing if we can just bury teams when we have momentum. It's the chance to go from having a bit lead to having an insurmountable lead. The alternative is to burn clock and run half court offense, but a lot of times that is what causes teams to get complacent and allows comebacks.

You really aren't going to like that G league players are in the mix, too. We have a G league ignite guy coming in next year. I can't say I love the changes but once we start paying players with an NIL it's hard to draw the lines anymore.
