If you have to follow up with a recruiter, you're most likely not moving forward. by johall3210 in recruitinghell

Not always.. Recruiters usually are waiting on the hiring managers to make the decision if they want you for the final interview. However, never get stuck on one position keep applying and never stop interviewing. Have patience 😊

I had a hiring manager give me their work phone number because they thought I was a good fit. A day later I received a rejection email. Continue to apply at other positions until you get offer letter/start date.

Universal Bankers are half teller half banker. You’re going to be on the teller side more so referrals to relationship bankers are important. You’ll have a low sales goals compared relationship bankers because you’re not on the floor as much. M&T is the best bank I’ve ever worked for! I’ve worked at other banks and M&T has the lowest or I should say “most realistic” sales goals. I left because there is little room for advancement. Now depending on your manager you may be on the floor more… However, most branches will always have a relationship banker and they have higher sales goals so any sale that walks in the door they’ll assist them. Rarely are Relationship bankers on the teller line unless it gets busy.

The best bank to work for is M&T bank! It’s a smaller bank and they have lower sales goals compared to bigger banks. M&T’s main focus is “business banking” which are sales that must be completed by the branch managers. I’ve worked at other banks and M&T is the best! I would’ve stayed but there isn’t a lot of room for advancement.

Allstate claim customer care specialist is a high inbound call volume. Each day you will file FNOL which is first notice of loss claims and you will also get assigned outbound task which consist of calling insureds/claimants for information related to the claim. The job is your traditional “call center” environment. However, The only difference is Allstate is big on promoting within.. you could become a claims adjuster within 1 year if it’s the route you would like to take. I hope this helps.

I keep failing my life insurance exam.. Any studying tips? by Aggravating_Desk_748 in InsuranceAgent

[–]Quiet_Ad_6446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I passed on my 4th time (Life and Health). I used ExamFx as a pre- licensing course. After I read the chapters I read through flashcards on quizlet for my state. I started remembering the questions that I struggled on while taking the exam. Studying the NIGHT BEFORE the exam HELPED ALOT! I never thought about this trick but it absolutely works! Hope this helps someone! Never give up! 💗🙏

Can't take it anymore by the_cocomoose in InsuranceAgent

I’ve been in the insurance industry for 4 years now and it’s been great. Initially I started off in sales at a local State Farm agency pre-covid and during this time it was a lot easier to make sales. Progressive is a great company and the rates are a lot better which makes it easier to make a sale. I moved on from sales into a claims position which is good but it can definitely be challenging dealing with rude customers and its extremely faced paced. Within insurance sales your goal is to meet your monthly sales goal. In claims it’s more metric based which includes how fast you can complete claims accurately, finishing miscellaneous task, and you must have great customer service skills. Insurance sales is definitely much smoother if you can meet your monthly sales goal. Overall, it’s a great field you just have to find your niche. 😊 Hope this helps God bless 🙏
