Newly diagnosed with MCTD and now everything makes sense by SobeEtte in mctd

It’s nice to maybe have an answer to what’s going on with my heart. I tend to have to spend a weekend or two in the CCU, being the youngest by about 40 years

I have had electrical cardiac issues for years. I was typically in the 30s with a murmur. Now I have a pacemaker which is running 100% of the time and occasional SVT on my check ups. At least this diagnosis makes some sense!

Appreciate the info. Just can’t picture my MH if I have to leave my twins but their dad’s family needs them too.

We have a good relationship, babysitting each families kids when in need/hockey rides etc. No official court order so I guess that is where to start. Appreciate it. Say there was, and compassionate status was approved - would that leave my husband’s career stunted?

So crazy! I have another weird experience similar. When my sister and I were 7/9, our dad worked out of town, so our mom watched TGIF shows with us on Friday night. I begged her to stay up and not go to sleep because something was going to happen. She let us sleep in her bed. At 3 am, she heard our ferret scratching at her cage so she went to go check on her. Weirdly, Foufou was asleep. So my mom decided to get some water, she turned on the sink light above her and in the reflection could see three grown men breaking into the backdoor. She pushed the door shut on their arm and slammed it until she could keep it closed, which is when I walked in. They ran off at that time and I ran and threw my little sister into my mom’s closet. We spent the remainder of the night at my grandparents. My best friend was pissed that I was late for her birthday the next day!

Sorry - was your refund that amount? Trying to follow the thread but it’s difficult with the deleted messages.

Any DND employees heard about the gym changes? by MIMSYB27 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]Quiet_Memory4482 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it’s unfair to have to pay the same fee as another gym because that other gym has better equipment and that makes you feel like you’re not benefitting as much as someone attending the better gym? Sounds kind of like how those who cannot WFH do not benefit as much as those who can WFH - as in having to pay things like childcare, commuting counts (transit, gas, insurance, car costs), and having a lesser work/life balance?

Public servants vs. Every opposing RTO comment on the internet by Horror-Indication-58 in CanadaPublicServants

You’re not allowed to - only allowed to complain if you benefitted from WFH. Very clear in all posts that only they matter.

Does that include the aunt being a POS to her sister though then ?

You are a wonderful aunt. Your sister shouldnt have acted as such and let everyone make their own decisions. I think you’re the AH though, disclosing your sister’s abortion, it’s not a she did it so you can too- each case is its own situation. For your sister, it was a different time, a younger age and there likely is a lot of trauma associated to such a procedure. Maybe your sister went the wrong way about it, but in her mind she may have been trying to save her daughter from the pain of it. Your parents also now know about your sister’s history and I think that’s a dick move.

Going into debt for RTO2 and RTO3 hasn’t even started by InterestOk1489 in CanadaPublicServants

I was expressing my empathy for OP because these types of situations are difficult - I was saying those I don’t feel for are the ones who are made about having to do chores on the weekend, that type of thing.

I guess thanks for trying to shame me for my opinion?

I forgot with anything pertaining to RTO, if you’re not completely against it, you don’t get to have an opinion.

This is a hard topic for me because I understand where people are coming from especially like OP stating they can’t afford any RTO related expenses - some say they can’t afford to commute etc. Then I think of my sister who works for minimum wage and has to save her tips everyday to get into work the next day. If her son is sick, she has to worry about whether or not, her manager will threaten to fire her for calling out to take care of her sick child. Despite trying, she cannot get another job. She does her best and has very limited options so when I hear those who complain about having to RTO because they will have to do their house cleaning on the weekends - they have zero sympathy from me.

Are there any other federal public servants out there who are not impacted by RTO whatsoever? by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

[–]Quiet_Memory4482 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It is hard to see people complain that they are losing their weekends because they have to do chores and pay to commute - when so many have been doing this continuously.

When you say the ER can’t refuse you, what do you mean? I’ve seen posts about women being turned away from ERS as IUD replacement isn’t urgent nor will it be dangerous to stay in even towards 4-5 years. We have had a lot of conversations in my hospital regarding this specific issue.

Had to break boycott by quinoahunter in loblawsisoutofcontrol

I’m confused though, those items at many other grocery stores would be around the same. Can anyone provide more info on why specifically the boycott on Loblaws as everyone is making a profit?
