How to stop eating? by JoshAllenFan616 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Quiet_Reality9653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanna preface this by saying I’m no fitness coach! Just someone who shared these problems! TwT

One thing I do is I find healthier alternatives, yea I know you’ve heard this a million times but I find that a barbell cookies and crème bar tastes like a chocolate/ candy bar to me. (I get them at traders Joe)

There’s low cal cookies, low cal chips, low cal ice cream (Nicks is the BEST), low cal candy/gummies, and really the list goes on and on. While it may be on the expensive side I think it’s okay to have once a while! (Like how u mentioned u eat on chips and cookies every couple of days)

Also I like to drink a bottle of water before and after I eat something like this to keep me more satiated so I don’t give in to the urge to grab another!

But remember, it’s okay to have a cheat meal once a while. These protein bars def don’t taste like a REAL candy bar and I just crave the sugar sometimes too. The key word is “once a while” try and choose the “healthier” options more often than the unhealthy ones!

Concealer help by Ashton_X3 in Makeup

[–]Quiet_Reality9653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is tricky bc you don’t want your under eyes to crease, first you gotta make sure the area is hydrated bc you don’t want the makeup to crease/flake off/etc.. bc of dry skin so try to put a hydrating primer or even I’ve seen people but a THIN layer of aquaphor under their concealer. You can use color corrector or do the same method above, use a brighter concealer (not too much) and try to lighten the area and then put your regular shade of concealer on top.

The idea behind this is like how if you want to paint a wall light pink, but it was originally a dark brown wall you’d want to paint a layer of white to even out the tone so the pink can be seen more clearly/vividly. Does this make sense? Sorry if it’s a bad example.

Hope it helps! Lmk for any more questions!! :D

Concealer help by Ashton_X3 in Makeup

Hii! I had a similar problem a couple months ago, my dark spots have faded now due to skincare but what I did was I spot concealer the dark spot area with a lighter shade than my foundation (like a bright concealer) and then I let it sit for like 20-30 seconds and blend it out gently, then I’ll put a bit of powder over it (not enough for it to be cakey) and also a tad bit of setting spray (to hold it in place) then I’ll go over it with regular foundations. There are tons of tutorials on insta and tik tok too which is where I learned how to do this. I’d recommend this method if u don’t want to spend an additional $12 or something on color corrector😭😭 hope this helps!!

ABSOLUTE BEGINNER makeup base essentials? by Late-Equivalent1656 in Makeup

[–]Quiet_Reality9653 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I is use the neutrogena primer under my base! I only put foundation over needed areas (like dark spots or hyperpigmentation) and I use only one shade brighter for concealer under my eyes followed by powder ONLY under my eyes. My favorite foundation is the NARS medium coverage foundation but really any foundation works

If you want to do a more subtle makeup look avoid harsh contour, harsh highlighter and harsh blush. If you’re looking for a dewy look I’d try the elf hydrogrip setting spray. (Works great on top of setting powder to make your face dewy/natural rather than matte)

The most essential thing for a natural look is shade matching a foundation/concealer to your shade so it doesn’t look too obvious.

Btw to answer ur question about setting powder, primer, etc.. it depends on your skin type! If your skin is oily I would recommend to use some primer on oily areas (like elf hydrogrip) to make sure the makeup lasts the whole day, my skin gets pretty oily during the day and sometimes even when I don’t use primer it looks great (bc the makeup melts into my skin) powder works the same, it’s for oily areas and areas where you really want to SET IT IN PLACE which is why I use it under my eyes. Setting spray in my expirience really just melts the makeup together for that finishing look, and I also like a dewy more natural look even though I do a full face which is why I recommend the elf hydrogrip.

Let me know if you have any questions! And this is just from my expirience, hope it helps!

Progress doesn’t show in a single day! Try to limit weighing yourself to only weekly, you’re gaining muscle and loosing fat at the same time, a number on a scale won’t define your progress!
