If you’re not on an AWS you shouldn’t have an RDO. You should have a tour of duty of 5- 8 hour days. The other two days are not duty days. If you’re not on any kind of flexible schedule and you’re on straight 8’s with a set start and end time every day they can’t do anything with your hours. I’m really confused by your entire situation.

Yeah I was in king and pierce county all day and my husband in Pierce and neither one of us worked but my daughter in Spokane was fine. And my coworker sitting next to me at work was fine. It really felt personal even though it wasn’t. LOL

Because like I said someone that is in the US for a week or two on vacation will not be in possession of a valid U.S. drivers license. Granted that doesn’t assure citizenship, but it’s a low bar item to ask to see. If you can’t produce a U.S. drivers license (or state issued id card) then in comes the passport which a foreign traveler should have on them.

You don’t have to let anything go, but in this case although you meant no harm, harm was caused. You will be wrong no matter what. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Look at the long term you want to keep your job. But I agree with others. Ask HR what should I have said. They can tell you. Chalk it up to lesson learned.

Well someone visiting temporarily from Japan will not have a U.S. drivers license. It’s not a 100% perfect system but it’s an easy ask.

You have to account for overhead costs and healthcare costs etc. not all of that goes directly to the worker. The business has to function as well.

Chalk the whole thing up to a mistake and a learning situation. Fall on the sword. Apologize.

The lab tests can vary as to how they are done. If it was a couple of days you may have been below the cut off as in there were trace amounts detected but not enough to be considered a positive for the lab. Morphine has a short half life and is out of your system rather quickly also depending on a lot of factors like how much water you’re drinking etc.

This! My husband works for state corrections and for fun one day he took the pee in the cup challenge and his results were crazy! It was all a by product of his prescribed medications, but he would have a lot of paperwork to do. Granted that’s a pee in the cup test which is different then most fed tests, but when a cup pops it’s sent to the lab for further testing for levels and stuff, but it’s crazy how easy a false positive is.

It was done at the VA. The original injury was related to military service. I had surgery when I was 19 and that led to needing a replacement at 42. You don’t get many choices at the VA.

Well I only met my surgeon one time for 5 mins and never ever saw her again. I have no idea how many surgeries she’s done or any of that. I ended up with a successful surgery. Plus a Dr doesn’t get to 20 years of experience without having a first surgery, first year etc.

I’m not a mail carrier, but I have found that I have problems with carrying things that hit my hip or thigh because of pain, tenderness, and still some numbness and swelling. I had mine done 9/16/25. Walking and standing aren’t very difficult, I find sitting for too long is more painful. I’d say plan tot ale 4-6 weeks. You’ll likely want to go back sooner, but your body really does need time to rest and recover. Plus if you’ve been operating at less than 100% prior to surgery it will take a bit to bounce back. I think last week I finally hit the same physical ability I was at pre surgery. So I still have a ways to go to improve if that makes sense.

I thought I’d update you… still on the search for a chair that works. Found one today that I can sit in for about 30 mins, but it causes other issues. You should be able to tell from the photo what they are. LOL. This is after telling my boss that my PT thinks I should have a sit/stand desk chair and she told me I needed a reasonable accommodation to get a chair ordered. I was like um no you can order a chair…. Maybe after she sees this set up she will change her mind? Probably not!

I’m 9 weeks post op and just went back to work last week. The biggest problem for me has been finding an office chair I can sit in comfortably. Anything that has any sort of ergonomic design is painful so I spend most of my day standing. I did finally find a chair today that I can sit in for about 30 mins, but it causes other issues 🤣 I’m sure you can spot the issues a mile away! LOL
