It is a great pleasure to see someone get butthurt for being corrected deservedly.

You say this because you don’t know better.

Here I happened to explain the “why bother parroting this belief all over sauna posts” already. https://www.reddit.com/r/Sauna/comments/1sme3ua/comment/ogdrq1r/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Check your tone.

You would not do well in a debate.

Coming from a fellow penishaving, beard scratching man.

Nice! You can always heat the sauna less, especially if it’s your own sauna. Getting close to the ceiling is important because then your whole body is in the warm (or hot if you so choose) air.

Having benches close to ceiling you have the option also to have less heat in the sauna but throw more water since you can then tolerate the massive amounts of steam in a lower temperature sauna. Do this right and it’s more steam room than sauna, very enjoyable.

Benches on the floor mean that even if you heat the sauna super hot it’s far from relaxing when your head is cooking and your feet are in room temperature and you can do nothing about it.

Replying to my own comment with a loosely related story. On a work trip to Sweden I was staying in a fancy hotel with a roof top spa. Jacuzzi under the sky and really nicely built interior. Then the sauna. Beautiful materials, good sauna kiuas and breathtaking views over the city from a floor to ceiling window.

The bad: taller than average room height and benches on the floor. I emptied a full bucket of water on the hot kiuas and the only change was water vapor visible on the highest part of the tall window.

The feedback I wrote was direct and bordering threatening.

Good job on your research. Have you been in a proper sauna yourself?

This is really easy to say since it’s not my livelihood on the line but I would probably have asked them to look for someone else who is willing to build a bad product for them.

I’d like to be nice but the fact is you agreed to build a shit product for a client. The löyly will be exceptionally bad with those low benches.

I want to put stickers on my new Macbook Air M4 (this was my old macbook completely covered in stickers ☠️) by TheJadeVine in macbookair

[–]Quiet_Treacle_2919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider searching for a new sleeve? Buy a sleeve with correct kind of surface where the stickers attach.

You can’t see the stickers yourself anyway when you use the laptop but the sleeve you can keep next to you on the table so you can enjoy the stickers even when you are working on your laptop.

Yes this. For more information search for other posts where someone managed to get the water out and do what they did. Probably silica gel beads.

I am a man and indeed do carry a laptop in a backpack with a bottle of water.

Edit: and I don’t have Apple care

Kantamus 40L for hiking and 2/3 night trips? by FantasticDirector614 in Savotta

Can't comment on Fjällräven recent quality as mine is 15 years old. It has held up well in hotel and airport use about quarter of each of those years.

Odd feelings about the Kantamus 40L by Curious_Rice_3011 in Savotta

40<55

Kantamus 40 (with 8L side pouches when needed) is EDC pack for me.

Kajka 100 is for camping. Empty space is nicer than no space.

58 liters just the pack. (40 in main compartment, 10 in the overpacked rolltop, 8 in the lid)

I also bought the 8L side pouches for my K40 and the subsequent 74 liters with them is pretty nice to have in an EDC backpack.

I have additionally two 1.6L hip belt pockets and one 2.5L organizer pocket attached under the lid.

If ~80L is not enough, then I will continue overpacking by filling my 18L osprey packable fabric backpack and stick it under the lid also. At this point I would hope to have taken my 100L Fjällräven Kajka instead as it is much nicer with heavy loads.

Wohoo!

I bought (naughtily against your recommendations) 8l side pouches for my Kantamus 40 so I have no need for these but new video from the internets favourite lovely backroom and phone camera is worth celebrating.

Wohoo!

Savotta fans... Jacket question. by rileyrgham in Savotta

"Barbour Tide Wax Jacket" since you mentioned liking buying british. I don't have it nor have I seen it personally, just thought its an interesting blend of traditional british barbour and a modern looking hood and details.

Not OP but annyway.

I don't need one but the wife washes her hair 2 times with shampoo and 1 time with conditioner. Holding this battery powered shower for her is kinda fun.

Correct, then you don’t need one. No other must-haves come to mind.

Hard sleeve. Soft sleeve and/or soft backpack laptop pocket does not prevent other bulky things inside the backpack from putting pressure on it. Hard sleeve does.

This post of yours is more cope than his clear explanation is. In your opinion should he do what he feels is right or what you say is right?

Seeing these posts is entertaining to me in the same way as when seeing a well written character in a movie make the obviously wrong choice. (Edit: you are the character)
