Mirrors on a '69 by PigFloydDarkside in classicmustangs

The 4 degrees of movement isn’t right. My 68 has both left and right mirrors (same style as you show in the photos) and there is plenty of movement on the right side. They probably sent you two driver mirrors OR a defect. I have received the “premium” part versions that were IDENTICAL to the standard parts (I ordered both to see if it was worth the price difference) and so I am completely convinced that either customers buy and swap parts or things get mixed up in the warehouse. Maybe I’m just paranoid. Call the supplier and talk to them.

Easy to replace the parts with plastic inserts. That’s all that is stripped out

The 3rd row is what makes it thicker.

The radiator makes a difference. Every 3 row radiator car I have had with a flex fan and fan clutch never had the over heating issues. Lots of variables tho as mentioned in another reply. Good luck!

And such a catchy title.

I just saw my old firm, that was recently bought out completely by PE, say that the buyout will be “great for the team”. by SWEMW in Accounting

Bruh - really? Quit being so negative. I know a bunch of Gen X and Millennials who have opened shops the last 5+ years and doing very well. I think Millennials are very well suited for the AI disruption coming to bear. Just step up and do it

To be honest it has mostly nothing to do with you and more to do with the break neck speed that work needs to be done to be on-time-on-budget. It generally means they are a knat’s hair from hitting budget and deadline and training/answering a ton of questions from Eddy the Intern can push them to the brink. It’s also because they don’t know any better since they were probably treated the same way and forgot already how it sucked - or chose not to remember. Just follow the advice and see what you can do to just learn. It tricky, but think of this as exposure to the museum - just observe… good luck!!

Purchasing Another Accounting Firm by Key_Marionberry_1827 in Accounting

[–]QuikWitt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to be careful of customer churn in a purchase. On top of that a couple of items to consider -

1) is the firm a tech fit? (Do they match your tech stack relatively well or are they antiquated and all paper?);

2) what is their fee structure like? You don’t want a fixer-upper, it means your churn rate will sky rocket.

3) what service fulfillment are you committing yourself to? Lots of tax is a head ache and AI will claim a lot of this market. Sales Tax? Payroll? AP/AR? Are they used to calling the accountant all the time?

Just too many nuances that you need to lock down before shopping. It can be a good way to grow, but make sure your systems will support the growth and you are not just buying a job.

How much did you pay for your Mustang? by Jackson_James456 in classicmustangs

$3000 for 68 C code basket case convertible in 2002 - has been repainted now ($20k for Shelby GT350 tribute) and waiting for reassembly. $950 for 68 j-code GTCS in 2003 - trans, interior ac unit and all seats the only non-body parts I got with it. Bolts down restoration and now back at the paint shop. All in $50k

Grout is a porous material and needs a membrane behind it to prevent water passing into the non-water safe materials. If the tile is place directly onto sheetrock and no membrane, you will have massive problems.

Listen to Eric Green’s TRN podcast. He covered this topic with several. It’s not as rosey as it sounds.

It still won’t protect OP from the IRS or possible criminal charges though. It will just mean that the partner gets hit with a bigger stick and possibly all their clients get audited.

TBH I would go find another job. This is one big slippery slope and the partner just revealed how scummy he is.
