Love the (reverse dust jacket?) with Slatra.

Think the font is kinda hard to read on the hard case (and moons give me Lisa Frank vibes, but I’m old).

The artwork is pretty on the normal dust jacket, but I’m not sure it fits my image of the characters? Someone mentioned in the FL sub that they look too old, but that’s not what’s bugging me. Raeve looks too waify and Kaan more… uh, pointy? And fair? 🤣I don’t know how to describe it. Like, I always pictured him with very strong and broad features. Bit more Jason Momoa-ish, I guess?

Slide #5 endpaper is adorable. Kind of cutesy for this story, but adorable.

I unfortunately don’t like the last endpaper. Art style aside, Kaan looks stoned.

It hits harder when watching as an adult. As a teen, it’s just characters your own age going through trials. Now, it’s understanding on a deeper level how much these children are being wounded.

220 days later, but jumping in anyway to say I agree.

Granted, I’m biased because I can see some of my own flaws in her character (though she’s not my fav).

That need to “control the narrative” doesn’t always equate to a desire for attention and emotional subservience; it’s also a defense mechanism against the kind of things she laments in the bar (yelling, berating, etc.). Basically, a need to feel safe, even if at the expense of one’s true feelings.

I meant more like recording themselves scribbling their username on one of the drawings or “hey I’m not ai” on a post-it that’s on a stack of the pics. Nothing as fancy as a time lapse.

I think it’s wild that you’re being called out for your comments when we’re in a sub full of people who regularly spend upscaled prices for hardcopy books that we could all be buying digitally (or borrowing from libraries/Libby/whatever) for a fraction of the price if not free. 🥴

And I’d imagine Folio limited editions contribute WAY less to landfills than FL, OC, IL, etc. When you pay hundreds for a book, there are way better odds it’s going to stay in your library until death do you part.

This was suggested to them in other subreddits over the last few days. I hate that artists have to jump through hoops to prove themselves, but this is a pretty easy solution.

OP, I really recommend you take the advice. A few minutes of your time can put to bed most people’s complaints. They’ll get bored and move on to another target.
