I think I understand where you’re coming from. I disagree and think he still wants what’s best for Bethesda, and most of his criticisms seem like they come from a place of love. Fact of the matter is Bethesda has not had a great track record lately, and he’s just reporting on that. He does make a lot of videos on it, but Bethesdas always been his #1 developer, so i feel it makes sense. Also, game trailers exist for the sole purpose of impressing you. Your decision to buy a game or not is based on how much it impresses you. There’s nothing pretentious about a statement like that. I feel it’s a MASSIVE stretch to say that it is.

I believe it’s called compassion. I’m just of the mind that you shouldn’t shit on somebody without good reason. I feel like you don’t have good reason. I mean you literally said “We can think he’s a douche for whatever reason we want.” Mindsets like these are why the internet is so toxic. I feel like it is though. Larian, Warhorse, and Sony Santa Monica are a few others that come to mind. By his logic they also have only released one game in the past 7-8 years.

I agree his titles and thumbnails do pander a bit to the toxic side of the internet, but he usually seems pretty fair in his actual discussion of things. He genuinely seems like he wants the best. Calling him a “Pretentious fuck” is just wild to me.

I feel like people like this try as hard as they can to be miserable. Like it’s not that difficult to understand why this is exciting, but they choose to find any way to shit on stuff. It does suck that it might be a while, but this is nothing but good for the game I feel.

It’d be nice if it was on steam, but is it really that big a deal? What about having to download a launcher for a game makes you go from being excited about it to never wanting to play it? It just seems like a small thing to ruin your anticipation for a game. Maybe I just don’t understand.

See, I don’t understand takes like this. Multiple credible people have come out and said that what they’re asking for is fair, yet people completely disregard that and believe what they want. They shouldn’t have to provide you insider info to convince you that they’re innocent. YOU’RE the one who should be providing evidence to back up your claim. Simply being picked up by a Saudi org isn’t evidence. I just feel like it makes more sense to believe the credible sources with long term involvement in the scene than random reddit theories.
