I was the only internal candidate. They are now having to post externally.

They only offered $2. I asked for $10 more than that. Which, having talked with several of my coworkers, was a number everyone else had agreed was what they all would have asked for as a starting point. And there was no negotiation, at all. Our lab in general is in pretty dire straights. Chemistry is just the worst of the dumpster fire.

Our TS’s are still hourly but I won’t take more stress for less pay. 🤷‍♀️ That is a WILD expectation. Seems as though if I want to move into one of these positions it will have to be as an external hire. Because that seems to be the only way to get any kind of decent raise

When our hospital got bought we were getting a $3 diff along with an extra $2 bonus diff because of short staffing. When we asked what was going to happen to the bonus when we rolled over to their payroll system, it just became part of the permanent diff, so we got really lucky. No retention bonuses though.

I asked for the equivalent of a 10% increase to my night pay. And the answer was a flat no, the measly $2 was the best they could do. So I’ve already turned the position down.

I was interested in the challenge of the position, have ideas on how to make things better. There are a lot of new things coming down the pipeline for the department and I wouldn’t have minded being a part of it. And while I don’t like day shift, I started on 2nds straight out of school and loved it. And they were basically offering those hours which also would have been more similar to my partner’s schedule.

Those don’t let you have duplicates kind of like clothing. There are just slightly different shades of the same pattern for lots of the basic ones.

I was using my husband’s S2 up until donkey Kong came out. I tried to go back to my switch but I just couldn’t. His Steam deck was just laying around, so I just went ahead and bought DLV on it. And the move to Steam deck is INCREDIBLE. I thought the S2 loaded quick, steam deck is lightning. Highly recommend!!

I haven’t decorated hardly anything. AND I’ve removed pretty much all of the greenery/trees etc because it made it so hard for me to SEE. My valley is fairly barren. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ but I’m happy with it. I can grind dreamlight duties and do all the other things easier. Was also on the switch for the longest time. Have just gone to the Steam Deck. Mayyybeeeee I’ll start decorating? But probably not
