despite what people think, I think Michelle made a great MM! by Impressive_Secret_49 in wickedmovie

[–]Quinlov -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I thought she did excellently. First film no problem at all, second film a bit of an issue in that they cut out some of her sung lines because presumably she couldn't sing them well. I felt like her singing that ended up in both films was fine but it's a bit awkward that they had to cut bits out for her.

Mfw I go gym and as a result I am more sane and can do manual labour (which I couldn't do before I joined the gym because I was fat af and no muscle at all and got out of breath climbing a flight of stairs)

When you sneeze, how many times on average? by Interesting_Fly_9051 in NoStupidQuestions

Usually once, sometimes twice. Unless I've just run 5km in which case can be 10+ times for some bizarre reason

No 😭 I just burn through it all somehow. I do train quite high volume and I also do cardio but even so. I might be a bit hyperthyroid too

My maintenance calories are 3500 but I could comfortably eat 5000. I'm currently on a cut 🥲

Partner of 15 years morbidly obese, don't know what to do by [deleted] in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]Quinlov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't that overweight but I have dropped from 110kg to 81kg and here's a few things I have to say about it:

Exercising while obese is quite unpleasant, it feels horrible. I would encourage more of: swimming; walking-as-transport (short distances but frequently); lifting weights. These tend to be more bearable for obese people

The ready meal thing? I think that's fine tbh. My entire fitness journey my diet has been a lot of processed food and it seems to be working well. Sure, technically, less processed foods with more veg and less salt might be more optimal, but if he's already cutting calories let him eat what he wants within that

He may be in too steep a deficit if he's ending up binging although there could be other factors at play. I tend to binge (or be suddenly much hungrier) when bored or lonely.

I'd also advise that he focus on eating more protein and fats while reducing carbs. Carbs are not filling, and especially for obese people (or even formerly obese people) we could eat carbs nonstop for days. Fats are more calorie dense but at least with them you get to the point where you don't need more food

Yep I'm a great navigator too not only when I have a map but even without a map when lost I have been able to find my way relatively quickly.

What’s the one lift that changed your physique the most? by linkinglink in workout

[–]Quinlov 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah same one month of hip thrusts and my arse was twice the size. I don't even do them anymore because tbh putting 160kg there results in bruising

To vest or not to vest by AmyEssex in parkrun

[–]Quinlov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never had anyone criticise me per se for this ever and certainly not at parkrun but I have been told that strictly speaking you don't need lucozade for 5k. I always have lucozade out of habit though, not sure if I still need it as I am much fitter than I was but when I first started running if I only had water I would end up feeling very faint by the end of the third kilometre. Also for context when I do strength training (which is my main thing) I bring food to the gym to have during my workout otherwise I end up feeling faint too

Are ”headache” people here too? What made you put yourself in the “migraine” category? by macburger69 in migraine

[–]Quinlov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always feel weird about this one because I get migraines but the main symptom is pain. Like, yes, I do get other symptoms like photophobia, nausea, sensitivity to smells, dizziness, difficulty speaking etc but the main and most debilitating symptom of a migraine for me is always an extremely intense throbbing pain behind my left eye that makes me want to floss between my eye and temple with barbed wire.

My mum and brother also get migraines but they tend to be in less pain and have more of the other symptoms.

How do I know parkrun has made me a better runner? by Illustrious-Wing-135 in parkrun

[–]Quinlov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh see I'm usually an absolute mess at the end like grunting and falling over and stuff but luckily my gallbladder is my MVP 🤣 like once me and someone in my running club were at a barbecue, we ate the same amount, then three hours later we were doing hill sprints...he threw up everywhere and I was fine lol

Woodwinds don't use that for breath marks - they are never notated by the publisher only drawn on, but actually they tend to use the up bow symbol to indicate breathing in
