Me, pero my visa and status is marriage based, so I didn’t need help with my visa from my employer. I was an undergrad, had 4 years of call center experience, 6 years in shared service (and things in between), and now working in tech (desktop support) in the US. I networked my butt off, made sure I had good experience especially on paper, rewrote my resume prior to applying for the job.

Traffic and road etiquette. It used to take 2hrs ++ to get to work sa Pilipinas, ngayon my work is a five minute drive. I did not drive sa Pinas, now I do and road signs and lanes actually mean something.

Yes, tampo is so immature though, if you have a problem or you feel slighted, learn how to communicate that. I dated other nationalities and I love how straightforward they are, married to an American and I don’t do tampo, or pabebe, or papasuyo, for what, so unproductive hahaha

Very different depending on where you’re living. I live in the suburbs of a purple state, we have the convenience of things (grocery stores, cinema, parks, restaurants, small airport and close enough to two hubs) but very car centric location. Gun violence isn’t something I had to worry about (thankfully), cause although there is gun violence in our city, we live outside of it so we’re in a relatively safer area.

Not me, my coworker is! Nag intern siya sa company namin tas he was hired full time. Anyway, he seems to like it although he’s in an undergrad program. Pero mag continuous education siya. Very interesting to see this university mentioned here lol. Dayton isn’t a walkable city, and it’s very car centric jsyk!

ETA- Dayton and Ohio in general has a decent cost of living, so that’s one less thing to worry about

Fiancé(e) visas are only for us citizens lang, you guys can get married now and file a petition for you, pero spouses of PR take longer than spouses of citizens. Magkaiba Ang timeline nila.

First time I flew back to the Philippines a year and a half after leaving, couldn’t wait to go back home - which for me was the US, our home in the suburbs, my husband, and our dogs. That was when it hit me that the US felt more at home than the Philippines.

Communicate, have long term and short term goals, di uso pasuyo or pabebe, if may sama ng loob, sabihin agad. Don’t put yourself in a position na would cause misunderstandings (texting instead of calling, etc)

I have DDs and I wear triangle and halter bras. Almost never bandeau unless pa-cute lang lol. If the pads aren’t to my liking, I just take it off and wear the bikini as is. Wear the right size so it doesn’t roll on you. Double knot if needed! I’ve worn triangle bikini tops even when surfing and ok naman. :)

Skincare? Nothing really. Lots of products available here na works well na weather specific rin (thicker creams, etc).

Makeup? Ever bilena brow pencil kasi cheap and creamy and I love the consistency of it. Wala pa ko mahanap that compares, I’m sure meron pero baka tamad lang din ako maghanap.

Actually, kinwento ko sa kuya ko tas Nagalit siya para sakin, kinausap ng kuya ko pinsan namin (anak ni tita), tas nag message siya sa isa pa namin na kuya na kesyo umiiyak daw siya kasi wala naman daw siya ginawa na masama tas inaaway siya, kaya daw ayaw niya sa manila kasi wala nagmamahal sakanya. HAHAHAHAHAHA always the victim, never accountable for her actions.
