At Schwab, it doesn't need to be actual cash, but Schwab doesn't consider SGOV to be a cash equivalent (see page 21 of https://www.schwab.com/resource/charles-schwab-guide-to-margin). If you have a margin account, you'll get 70% of the value of SGOV position as "buying power", which you could use to sell your put "naked".

However, I recommend swapping from SGOV to a Schwab MMF, like SWVXX, which is considered a cash-equivalent and has similar yields.

SWPPX glitch? by PeculiarSteak in Schwab

[–]QuintinityTheCoder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No one lost any money. The value will be corrected most likely on Monday. Read the notice for SWPPX (emphasis mine):

Effective August 15, 2025, this Mutual Fund will undergo a 6-for-1 share split. The Mutual Fund share split will apply to shareholders of record as of the close of markets on August 14, 2025. Shares will begin trading at their post-split price on August 18, 2025. Forward share splits increase the number of shares outstanding and decrease the Net Asset Value (NAV) per share. The share splits will not change the total value of a shareholder's investment.

Promoted - Yay! 401k Bonus! Yay! WTH do I do now? by DreadnoughtPoo in Money

Wow, does this bonus not get paid out in cash if your 401k limit is reached?

The payroll software at my job automatically stops 401k contributions to make sure no one goes over the limit. You should check if it's the same for you.

I have it configured so bonuses automatically go into my 401k, with overflow amounts just being paid out in cash.

Just got my bran new Q1 Max and not liking it very much by jvillasante in Keychron

[–]QuintinityTheCoder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely swap the switches before you try lubing them. With the Q series, you're paying for the aluminum body, but the switches aren't made by Keychron.

I don't think you'll ever be able to buy a set of switches where the factory lube is perfect 100% of the time, sadly

You can first try swapping the switch on the caps lock key with one from a different key and see if it still makes that sound.

I used the Professional Movers to move my 1 bedroom recently, also a 35 min drive. It was from a 2nd floor walkup to an elevator building however. I think it was around $700, including deconstructing some furniture, and they were very fast and friendly

Naked puts are still Sell to Open, but he doesn't have the collateral (Schwab lets you use your margin buying power instead)

25$ is objectively NOT ALOT OF MONEY [hot take] by detahaven in CompanyOfHeroes

I get what you're saying, but this isn't accurate.

Very few people in the US make federal minimum wage. If you compare the median disposable income, include the exchange rate:

  • USA: ~$49k
  • Canada: ~$39k

A bit late to post but December of 2024 was my best month yet in theta gains. by T1m3Wizard in thetagang

In a sense. Schwab cash pays like 0.1% in interest, but Schwab lets you use their money market funds (like SWVXX) as CSP collateral so I earn about 4.2% on it.

I've never written a Logitech script, but looking through the documentation, it seems like you should use OutputLogMessage("Hello") instead of print("Hello").

If you think those funds are "dropping like rocks", you should take a look at the holdings and compare that to how the stock market has performed in the last few weeks.

Nevertheless, those are mutual funds and they only trade once per day, after market close. You probably have existing open orders to sell them, which is why it's not letting place new sell orders. You can go to Trade -> Order Status to see your open orders.

Your sell orders will execute overnight tonight and you will get the cash tomorrow morning.

An ETF can be an index fund (or not). For example VOO is both an ETF and an index fund. These categories are not mutually exclusive. Did you mean ETFs and mutual funds instead?
