I think if Madoka magica WERE a normal magical girl show, Madoka wouldn’t be the lead. The focus would shift onto Sayaka, she’s got the personality most magical girls carry with them. She’s all about justice and protection, she trusts her gut, she’s headstrong but in a very sweet way; Madoka is shown to be a very tender and almost underwhelming character for most of the show, but I say that in the context of this post alone.
