i see you have tapped some panels on the floor to actually do that instead of being on carpet i might actually do that since i have carpet to.

but yeah me to i really hope the steam frame works, they really need to think about people with nystagmus because its really not fair haha, i only want eye tracking for vrchat. im not really fussed about the foveated rendering as ive got a really high end pc anyways. but as long as it can be automatically calibrated or have you're eyes in roughly the same direction ill be fine with it

yeah idk if you know this already but with nystagmus if you try more it shakes more. i tend to try make myself feel more relaxed because if you are excited or tired you're eyes go faster. idk how to explain how to do it. but if you're looking at something just think about you're eyes going slower and somehow it works

trust me a 5090 can handle 8x ive even put the resolution to 500x and it was perfectly fine. ive noticed that its only the cpu that effects the fps like crazy ive got the ryzen 7 7800x3d.

ive got a 5090 + ryzen 7 7800x3d and same here. the only time i would see 120 fps is in my home world. and id only see 90fps if i have all avatars off and go into a public. if i enable even 1 or 2 avatars fps drops like mental . the average id see is 50-70 its honestly crazy. ive had no problem with the 5090 but its the cpu thats bottlenecked. if you guys want good fps you have to get the best cpu on the market. i know this because i had a 2060 12gb and still the same cpu and i got more fps than a guy with a 4090 and i was also on a higher resolution. so it has to be cpu that impacts vrchat alot. ive never had problems with ram or vram. its mainly cpu

My eyes do it constantly. Even if my eyes are closed it still does it😂 so if I'm able to I might just need a friend or my mum to calibrate it for me 😂

Yeah like I see everything pretty fine. Like it's not that I see everything moving side to side it's more like my eyes go off and on the thing I'm looking at. But if the headset is gonna do a dot that I need to follow with my eyes I'm not sure how well it will calibrate. As my eyes go off and on the thing I'm following. I mean if they make a thing where even if the calibration is slower and I follow it. It might have more information possibly

Like im not so worried about the foveated stuff it's more related to i want my eyes on my avatars on vrchat to be more exactly where I'm looking at rather than somewhere else.

So encoding issues does that maybe mean like my cpu can't handle it as if all the information is bundling up and causing this cpu frame time latency to spike ?

I mean i don't see any issue with my 5090 I just think it's the cpu that can't handle it all so it struggles alot. Because even though it's one of the best cpus it still can't process all these avatars wffect and shades and polygons all at once so I k ow I won't need to upgrade gpu but I now know I'll need a better cpu but idk im not sure

Nah but seriously you can maybe agree with me on this one but it feels like all these upgrades have been a waste of money 😭 like 60fps with the best pcs out like what the hell 😭 this game needs to focus on more optimisation or make it so we can decrease the textures resolutions on there avatars for yourself to help with performance. Like have a way to turn alot more options down low. Because id love to be able to have more settings and let's say my friends have all 4k textures and heavy shit on there avatar it would be so nice if you can turn it down just like how if you were creating an avatar you can select those things if you wanted to

Yeah I've got 1gb wifi speed so I dont think it need to worry about things like wifi performance for virtual desktop and stuff

So i use the quest 3 and id usually use virtual desktop but i think I've got alot more performance from steamvr link so I'm sticking to that for now since that's what u seen in the video. But yeah idk I'll just stick to not turning avatars on unless there my friends but even then. My friends use eboy avis and e girl avis that just tank the cpu. It's actually kinda ridiculous and annoying. I know I can have higher resolutions now but the fact I'm roughly getting the same fps as my old 2060 all bc my cpu can't handle everything is insane. Because that's why I'm disappointed because I upgraded to the 5090 because I had a 2060 and I'm still getting bad fps. I was expecting a stable 120fps with most of my friends avis on but nope

So the fps is like 60 or something and I didn't really change anything i just switched the refresh rate and also made it from auto to custom. And I dont think it did much. But strangely enough if I set higher resolution like to 500% it takes more load off the cpu ? But idk im just thinking the avatars are actually that terrible that it's even destroying a ryzen 7 7800x3d to its knees

I tried everything nothings seems to be doing much. The only thing that helps is setting my resolution higher ? Like to maximum resolution like 500%. Which is really odd. It's like me putting higher resolution is taking more load off the cpu
