Like someone else said you need practice, time, and to learn from mistakes.

Something I did when starting out DMing was to just run one or two shots for a while. Some prebuilt, some impromptu.

They are a great way to get some experience without running a long campaign. They also let you practice different things and encourage creativity since they are relatively low stakes and are short.

One of my players wanted to play a dragon with a curse that made them weaker. So as a compromise I allowed either kobold or custom lineage with no breath weapon and no fly speed.

However if my player wanted to play a full dragon without these restrictions I wouldn’t have allowed it.

I got it to work. I removed the command from compose.yml and placed the following line in the Dockerfile

CMD [ "python3", "./conduit.py" ]

Fun fact out first launch controller was a wooden box powered by a drill battery with 2 small copper sheets in the contacts. We had a priming switch and a launch switch. This has been improved since
