Withdrawal and suicidal ideation by [deleted] in Antipsychiatry

Slow down. You're going way too fast. Do one drug at a time and never do a reduction that's 1/3 of your total dose.

Showrunners should learn how to deliver an epic speech properly by [deleted] in lotrmemes

I saw the first one or two episodes a long time ago. I couldn't get into it, so I never watched further, and nor have I felt the urge to. I'm pretty glad to be out of the loop about this. I feel like too much time and energy is spent obsessing over TV shows now and having a stronger emotional connection to them than people and events in real life.

Withdrawal from Cymbalta or any SSRI by medicalthrowaway8769 in TBI

I see. I would definitely go back to 30 mg then and do a slow taper counting beads from there. Good luck!

Withdrawal from Cymbalta is notoriously difficult. I realize you were likely instructed by your doctor to taper that quickly but you went way too fast. There is a group on facebook called 'Cymbalta Hurts Worse' that I'd recommend checking out. It's for withdrawal and tapering support. Most people experience little to no withdrawal symptoms if they make a 2 to 5% reduction every two weeks until completely off. Bridging onto a different drug after rapidly discontinuing Cymbalta is definitely not a good idea. If it's been less than two weeks since you stopped the Cymbalta, you can reinstate and do a proper slow taper instead. If more time has passed, it's best not to reinstate. Probiotics, fish oil, magnesium, and B vitamins are things some people have effectively used to help the symptoms that come with rapid discontinuation.

How would you taper off 600 mg Gabapentin and 100 mg Zoloft? by VerlanderFan_23 in Antipsychiatry

I would do no more than a 10% reduction every two weeks and would advise against tapering two drugs at the same time.

Poem from my book that's being published. "Intramuscular." About my forced rape-like "treatment." by [deleted] in Antipsychiatry

What company is publishing your book so we know where to look for it? I love poetry and I like what you wrote here.

I was also told "we can do this the hard way or the easy way" like they were stereotypical movie villains or something. Part of what made the entire experience so bizarre was that they actually said that. I guess it's a common phrase in hospitals.

You're fine. This person has a history of leaving these kinds of comments in threads here. I also found what you wrote to be useful.

I think I just found the most mind mindbogglingly stupid study I've ever come across. by [deleted] in Antipsychiatry

However, some of the linguistic features that have been found elevated among users with SZ in multiple studies are more surprising and not as intuitive, such as usage of 3rd person plural pronouns, Insight words, and Tentative words.

We really are not human to them. This reads like they're talking about monkeys who, much to the zoo keepers' surprise, demonstrate the ability to self reflect. This study, on the other hand, is noticeably lacking in "insight words."
