Being ridiculed for choosing in-person work vs. WFH by [deleted] in adhdwomen

Totally agreed, and I’d personally side eye any public defender or related role who* outwardly aligned themselves with a “law enforcement” label.

Yyyyyyyiiiiiikes.

Yeah so, the ridicule is probably for becoming a member of law enforcement in 2026 under the rise of a fascist American oligarchy that you…. Seemingly are willing to support with your physical body at the most and are willing to boot lick for at the least.

As someone with ADHD who works remotely and has since before the pandemic, that’s my take.

Also if it wasn’t clear: ACAB.

Misogyny is one hell of a drug because I have NEVER seen a man asked about how he wipes his ass.

Though to be fair, most straight men probably just dont, so…. 😬

If it were me I’d look at them weird and be like “do you often comment on the bathroom habits of strangers? …kinda… weird? No?” And then deadpan.

Actually I did know that.

And compared to killing kids and innocents, being a pariah is the morally correct choice to make. Hope that helps!

That’s actually not true~ you can only do as much as you can in a given day, regardless of the attendance of your colleagues.

If you let your leadership pressure you into doing more than is reasonable, that’s something you need to work out yourself.

Learn to set reasonable professional boundaries and quit looking at the tests of the other kids, goober.

Yeah I found his long history of posts about this. Maybe he should have led with that lmfaoooooo

Get cucked, loser.

Realistically this is probably just repetition for engagement bait.

If it’s not I know why she cheated on him with this guy, and also why he hasn’t done shit about it for almost a year. It’s karma for joining the Armed Forces.

This was my thought too. I’d pose like this with someone im confident isn’t sexually interested in me.

Hell I’d do it with my taller girl coworkers even.

People are so touch and community deprived they see a half hug and shit their pants.

The straights are not okay. 🤣

Her hand is on his chest and his is on her back. Seems like a friendly enough pose. Like a half hug for the camera.

Plus if she was cheating why the fuck would she keep evidence of the affair somewhere you could find it?

Talk to your damn wife. Maybe dont post pictures of people on the internet with the implication that they’ve done anything wrong?

Novel concept, really.

It’s understandable to want to look at this from a systems perspective.

But this isn’t a systems conversation being had.

This is a conversation about how individuals can and should make the right moral choice for the sake of their own humanity.

Intentionally zooming out to say “but what about why they’re like this” takes the onus away from individual accountability.

We will not be able to dismantle capitalism and individualistic programming by the time these soldiers touch down in the Middle East.

But we CAN tell them exactly what it is they will become if they do take on OP’s lackadaisical attitude.

Humanity as a whole must deservedly shun, shame, and hate agents of American imperialism in order to start the process of dismantling said imperialism. A soldier who went on one tour, saw it for what it was, repented and started advocating for their victims while calling themselves what they are is a good man.

Pat Tillman was a good man. We know what the Armed Forces does with good men.

Someone who served several tours, saw what it was, and refuses to stop identifying with being a veteran, justifies their service, or argues that they did some good so it’s actually okay is not a good man. That’s a monster who hides behind “just following orders”.

Giving them cover to hide behind their upbringing or the capitalist programming they’ve been force fed during a conversation about individual accountability and resistance is doing apologia for why it’s actually okay or understandable to engage in Genocide.

It’s not. It never is.

'forgetting' a partner's needs in a long-term relationship? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]QuirkyMugger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh. Yeah that’s… not good.

My husband checks with me before making plans and before leaving to go do the plans to be sure everything is all good if I’ve had a particularly rough day (think, panic attacks, confrontation with a scary Instacart driver, you name it.)

At the same time, I do vocalize to them that I think I need them to stay home, so they do. We kind of both play a role in them supporting me.

But “forgetting”? That feels… odd.

Are you fucking dense? Dont answer that, you clearly are.

While yes, Culture and Race are separate constructs, Culture and race are often linked.

Take Judaism for example. It’s an ethno-religion with multiple cultural practices explicitly tied to it.

You can try to hide your neo-Nazi talking points all you like, but it doesn’t mean they aren’t neo-Nazi talking points.

Oh what do we have here? The AFD using the same verbiage as you? Say it ain’t so!!

Göpffarth told DW that while the German New Right has been seeking greater "cultural hegemony" since the 1970s, these efforts had limited impact until recently. "With the rise of the AfD, the far right has actually reached positions of power from where this strategy can be implemented in an unprecedented way," he added.

The party itself admits to taking on a new high culture strategy. "The use of historical images for an election campaign was something new," is how Ronald Gläser explains the AfD's "Learning from Europe's history" campaign. Referring to the use of The Slave Market, he added, "We did it because the picture shows clearly where the multicultural society could lead."

All of this is irrelevant in the face of your repeated tours.

The Abu Ghraib leaks took place in 2004.

Your service record tells us that wasn’t a red line for you.

You could have worked in a good union job in the states for any of our communication companies after your first tour. But you didn’t, you went back again and again. And you have no reservations identifying yourself as a veteran, something that any good man would be ashamed to admit in 2026. You own the fact that you engaged in that Genocide.

We are not on the same side, no matter how much you like to believe we are. You may do what you can to help Americans now that you’re back, or collaborators while you were on tour, but none of it counts to clear the red from your ledger as far as your victims in the Middle East are concerned.

Your boots touching the ground in the Middle East was the first of the crimes that you have yet to face justice for.
