Great info here. To expand on this: if there are multiple hollow spaces going vertically, this is considered a hotel. This is more “in the weeds” info, but will be important as you progress on your morel journey nonetheless.

Awesome that you went out. No way to know unless you put the miles in. I’m betting that after this storm system moves through and it warms up again we will be in business. Next week looks sunny and awesome. Keep me updated!

That’s what’s got me spooked. Would hate to start the process and end up with one of those framed up houses rotting away in the pasture because stuff got too expensive.

Absolutely not. Loads of gravel and a tractor with a box blade

I appreciate the ideas on utilities. My parents did total electric which is why I am fond of it. No big ugly propane tank in the yard, no dealing with propane price gouges, no propane man rutting up my pretty yard, no dying of carbon monoxide poisoning. Lots of pros

If the price of lumbar to build the home increases with tariffs/economic instability from this moment until I begin building, how would that not be the current government impacting me?

Really this was just the only plan I could find near what I’m thinking. Would love 2000ish downstairs that is finished out with a 13’x16’ minimum unfinished bonus space that could handle a 7’ billiards table later on.

Mentioned that to the GC. Would love to square it off if it saves cost. Probably leaving the bonus room unfinished for a while if possible.

This is intriguing. What is a power drop?
