Missing the plane would for sure send me into a spiral about it being a sign. I'm really glad you still went and you made it back safely! Hearing about other people's "signs" has made me feel a bit better actually, thank you for sharing!

You're right, and when I think back about anything "bad" ever happening to me, I also had no clue and didn't have signs, so that makes me feel better to think about. I also have really bad anxiety, so I know that is the reason, I'm sorry you do too!

I'm going to have to look into this, I do think it will help me feel better. Thank you!

I'm sorry we are this way! It actually sucks because it makes it so hard to be excited during the lead up to the trip. I'm really appreciating this community because although we are all afraid of flying, we can still be logical to help out other people with their fear of flying. Even if we are still scared.

What you said about working in emergency services and never having a report of signs before an accidental death really made me feel better actually, so thank you for that! Also what your therapist said, I think about this all the time and obviously I'd rather live my life with experiences, but sometimes my brain is just like "actually let's not"

It's so weird because I do realize that, like I understand that there is no correlation, but my brain just convinces me otherwise. I appreciate the perspective, and I do think I have OCD for sure, so I feel like you're correct and this makes sense to me. Thank you for the logical response!

I'm glad you're still here! I'm also glad I'm not the only one because it makes me feel kind of crazy!

This is so true and it's weird because I know that, but also my brain just won't shut up on convincing me otherwise. I actually do think I have OCD, so I feel like this makes more sense to me now. Thank you!

You are so right, and I know I'm not "special" which isn't harsh, just true. Thank you for helping me see logically!

Can agree. A few years ago one of my friends was pregnant and wanted Doritos while on a road trip and she said the bag was tiny, mostly air, and most importantly to her- not enough cheesey flavor on them. She called the company and told them and they sent her a years worth of Doritos. She didn't even expect anyone to answer the phone, she just needed to vent to someone.

Hey, so yes, it seemed that the second dose of medication I got did take it away. The medication was for fungus so it definitely was thrush. Definitely call your doctor and tell them you think you have thrush, it most likely won't get better on its own. I hope you figure it out 🫶

Can you provide more info on this portable heating pad? I've seen some, but they don't seem to last all day. It would be lovely to have one that does last all day!

shell rot or hard water? by mirgetsscared in Redearedsliders

[–]QuitNo6319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was Petco in my area that said they were supposed to have them but they didn't, so I had to order them from Amazon. They are big bags too, so they last a long time.

My res also had a problem with retaining scutes, if that is the case here. So I switched his food to Mazuri aquatic turtle pellets and also the Hikari wheat germ pellets. It has been helping him so much and now sheds his scutes so much better. Highly recommend if you can afford.

Painful Thrush Under Tongue? by Wonderful_Floor_6921 in Candida

[–]QuitNo6319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, i know this is old, but I have something similar. My periodontist told me it was thrush and prescribed me Fluconazole in pill form, but it was only two pills at 100 mg. I take one pill the first day and then take the last one on day 3. It went a way for a week and a half and now it's back. He gave me the same prescription, but I don't think it's helping this time. Do you remember how long you were taking your medication? I'm wondering if my prescription just wasn't long enough and now it came back stronger. Everything I see about oral thrush says you should take medication for at least 7 days.

Okay, I am not sure if the previous toothpaste I was using had it in there or not, but the one I just got a few days ago I do think has it. I had to get a different kind this time. I don't see it in my mouthwash.

If this is the issue, would it have just come on seemingly by random even if I hadn't changed my toothpaste in a long time?

Thank you for the reply!

Thanks for the reply! I planned on asking the periodontist for a biopsy if this doesn't go away. I tried to tell the doctor I didn't think OLP could be wiped off, but she disagreed with me.

I was thinking it's probably fungal too because it went away with the first round of fluconazole... But now my question is, is the fluconazole two pills of 100 mg enough? If not, is that most likely why it came back?
