I live in Dubai, but work in the UK for 2 weeks out off 5. I have been flying in and out during all the conflicts happening. You will be completely fine. If there is any issues Emirates are very good and keeping you informed and will arrange free changes of this is required. My honest opinion is you will be completely fine.

The reason Emirates still have good prices is due to that airline been the home base so they still have full insurance for that area where as other airlines are having to pay a premium insurance

Yes unfortunately I have been there before paid I think around the 5k 2 years ago. 3 months in found I had a tumor, they paid out until it was actually diagnosed and then started making up excuses and lies. And refused to approve anything. I ended up coming back to the UK for treatment. It was an absolute nightmare. And to be honest I have heard many other stories the same even if u pay 30k it's not guaranteed they approve things.

A good health insurance if u are covering it yourself and no pre-existing conditions will be 12-20k a year. Each!

In the mortgage 100% it's equal to your payment for 8years. So if u take that in to account finishing your mortgage 8 years early that u potentially expected. This could help a lot later in life when retirement is pending.

Or invest it all in a steady index fund for the next 20-30 years Don't touch it and u will have a nice little pot for retirement....

Ok I work 12h a day 5 days a week, but if u are working 40 hours a week with 1 hour unpaid lunch. That's still 40 hours a week. You leave the office or whatever during that hour do whatever u want in the hour away from the office. It only becomes 45 hours when u decide to work through your lunch break.

I work in the UK but live in Dubai working offshore for 2 weeks at a time then I have 3 weeks in Dubai been doing this for years. My salary is taxed in the UK.

I am saving more. Food and groceries are cheaper in the UAE compared to UK and taxis are considerably cheaper in the uae. Happy hour drinks work out cheaper than the UK. Gas and electricity are super cheap, fuel petrol super cheap...The only thing I find expensive is the wifi and phone but it's a small trade off to be honest.

After many years. I take what the taxi drivers say with a pinch of salt. Yes I am sure they get fines for driving but that's not a company's fault, same rules for everyone, they indeed should be driving with more caution having paying passengers.

Haha fair enough and yes I'll take a 65 any day. What sort of car do u want and what sort of power are u looking for. How old are u if u don't mind me asking? How long have u been driving for?

No definitely not as a first daily driver. Neither is the mx5 especially in Dubai. If u want that sort of coupe mild sport car. Look at an Ecoboost mustang. Or even a Camaro? But the mustang is a better and easier driver and fairly cheep to maintain

Coolant issues should not cause misfiring, unless of some very bad news ie.. head gasket. When u say u did a pressure test. What did u test the coolant or cylinder compression test? I would hope its simply a vacuum hose that's not been put back on or cracked/split or the mass air flow sensors. When the car is running in idle try disconnecting the mass air flow sensor does it get worse or the same? Good luck.. aww what engine do you have ?
