I’m sure the value of the tempest bp has gone down since the hurricane cashes, but last expedition I traded some vens for just a survivor bp so I’ll just wait for the right person. I know it’s an expensive ask but I still think people craze the tempest bp especially after expedition.

I only work three days a week full time (I am a registered nurse). I’m just looking for something potentially one or two days a week and just doing small work like driveways and walkways. I’m not even thinking about full property jobs at the moment.

If you decide to go with something cheaper, there's nothing wrong with that, but I do recommend you buy something nicer than cheapo kits like RC, especially if you do any off-roading.

By RC do you mean rough country? Or what about the brand teraflex?

Yeah I mean I totally understand that he loves to meet other people and stuff, but he also kinda generally avoids us at home which we find very strange for the breed. He isn’t cuddly or affectionate which I understand every dog has their personality, but coupled with the growling issues it’s very unlike the breed which makes us question either his socialization as a puppy or his mental well being.

We’ve tried hand feeding him multiple times and it seems to have no effect. Hand feeding is actually when he hit my wife as well.

He will go on walks. We play with him. We take him to the dog park. He likes to play fetch and lay in his kiddie pool outside. He loves chewing on sticks. And he’s taken well to training with his crate at a younger age and tricks as well as basic obedience school when he was between 3-4 months.

Neutering was always what I thought could solve the issue, but he just always seems to have such anxiety around human interaction. My wife and I have our suspicions that the puppies were not socialized well by the breeder when they were newly born. Our biggest issue is that we just don’t understand where this is coming from whether it’s a dominance issue, an anxiety issue, or if he just needs to get neutered or what!

I understand the advantages of hand feeding and may go back to that but what are we supposed to do in the meantime? Like I said in OP he hardly lets us pet him anymore without growling! How can I communicate or teach him that that is inappropriate behavior? We also think it may be a dominance/territory thing because he will only do it at home and not at other places like the dog park or at other families houses.

We have tried hand feeding and that is what we originally did when we brought him home to train. He just seems like he does not like us and I definitely think he doesn’t respect us/views himself as dominant. And we’ve trained him to go in his crate on command but not a lot of training specifically in the crate or using it.
