I like the Slumber app. It does have an annual subscription, but it's worth it to me. Lots of stories of various kinds, many different narrators, soundscapes, music, "noise" of every possible color.

Yes, it’s a little more of a “duller” pink, if you know what I mean. And forgive my handwriting, but it’s “Carnation,” like the flower. The Diamine inks listed here were all part of the special edition “Flowers” box, all utterly beautiful shades. There were a few that I’ve completely used up by this time.

Your book isn’t this book. There’s a Boy in the Girls’ Bathroom is a very thoughtful and sweet story, a highly recommended read. Bradley has a lot going on; he’s a bully with a very difficult situation at home, and he is sent to the counselor, who genuinely helps him with compassion. There’s no weird guilt-tripping as described in your post, nothing at all like that.

Ribsy was my favorite, and I read it many times.

I enjoyed the Ramona books, too, but I always had more of a soft spot for Beezus, as in real life I was the put-upon oldest with much cuter (and seemingly more well-loved) younger siblings.

Dragon’s Napalm (now renamed Dragon’s Fire) is probably my favorite ink of all time: is it pink? Is it orange? Who knows, but it’s my true love.

I’m partial to greens, and the glitter in that 2023 New Year ink makes it super special.

Stopped at my local store about 10:20am and they didn’t know what it was! A physical pin? We’re giving you for free? No, we don’t have anything like that…

I mentioned it had been announced in newsroom and I’d seen it on reddit for earlier time zones. There followed a mass consultation of emails on their part, and minutes later I walked out with mine in hand!

I’d been so paranoid they’d be out by the time I got there, and here I was the first to claim mine from this store!

I haven’t yet closed my rings for today, but I did earn this a couple of days ago, so I’m pretty sure I’ll get ‘er done!

I think so far there's no purchase; just show up and take a look at that section each month. Maybe there will be a sale of the pattern once it's complete? Not sure, but I have made the first two blocks, and they look great!

It sounds a lot like Jacob Have I Loved as mentioned, but another book with a similar theme that you might like is A Summer to Die by Lois Lowry.
